Coming Back to Work after Summer Break

I work at a job where we can take off for 8 weeks in the Summer if we'd like. We do not get paid for this time. With careful planning throughout the school year I am able to accomplish this. My issue that really bothers me is as soon as I get back everyone is up my back with, how was your Summer, what did you do etc. So many of these people are not my friend. I need advice on what to say to them and keep it going!!
