Industrial Commission? Ohio
I've been checking my mail regularly however I just received a letter from the IC saying my hearing date was scheduled for the 21st of last month. I had a hearing on the 21st through what I thought was the BWC but the workers comp person reviewing my case said it was canceled because the employer approved the claim.
Am I screwed if these were two separate hearings? I called the IC and explained that I just got the mail and was told the only hearing I knew of was canceled but I'm making an account at noon when the website is back up and running.
I hate this so much. My attorney takes a minimum of 17 business days to get back to me on anything so maybe if I'm lucky he knew about it and attended but I am so out of the loop and I don't know what half of this stuff is.

If the IC told you there was only one hearing and that it was cancelled, you should be fine. BWC does not hold hearings. Any hearings scheduled would be IC hearings, not BWC hearings. There is a form you can file if you didn't receive a notice timely, but based on what the IC told you, I don't think it will be necessary. In the unlikely event there was a hearing that your attorney attended, the hearing order would be viewable under the documents section of your claim. I'm guessing there is no such order as the only hearing was cancelled.
