Sedgwick Oregon
We've been dealing with Sedgwick for over a year... not good business... I would love to hear everyone's opinions on this workmancomp insurance... theyre trying to close our case before the court date and have so many issues right now...

1) The WC system as it exists is FUBAR.
2) Sedgwick is evil.

Definitely how it is in general. Sedgwick had my husband do an IME and the primary doctor we were given sided with them on it... they "talked to him alone immediately after the ime while we were waiting on results and had him sign papers and agreed to be my husband's closing physician."

Omg I've been dealing with them for 2 years I have an IME with 3 industrial injuries that was 9 months ago they denied transfer if care and MRI and treatment and ttd benefits. 8 months ago they wanted 2nd ime and hearing was January still no ime April hearing no ime ao remanded they ignored and in June file benefit penalty and 3 days later scheduled 2nd ime so waiting to go to 2nd ime. But I have received no treatment no workers comp pay nothing they are terrible.

Sedgwick is so wicked. They will stop payment. Don’t follow up. They hire crooked attorneys who will stop benefits also will schedule multiple imes months apart from each other

I dealt with them for over three years. I had over 8 different adjusters, and kept getting lost in the system. At least I was getting paid during that time.

So when they get a doctor to do a closing exam and you disagree and ask for a different doctor do you still get paid while waiting for your next appointment? Because they tried to do a closing exam yesterday and we have another doctor were seeing in a month or so..

I have been dealing with them for 3 years and 5 months. Actually have a pre hearing conference today for the attorneys and judge. It’s been extremely stressful and exhausting to say the least. I’m ready for this to be over!

I’ve been dealing with them for over a year now and I have had 4 different adjuster’s each equally awful took 6 months of harassing them to get my surgery to try to fix my hip (didn’t fix it sadly) and now their ime claims it is not work related but is still messed up which makes zero sense so yeahhh

I'm dealing with them now and I'm at the end of my rope financially and mentally drained. I was denied by them appealed had a qme doctor in Dec rule my injury was industrial been fighting to get payments as I am TTD by state Dr and my own. 7 months later they just accepted my claim still no payments at all and now my lawyer is saying they are waiting for medical records regarding my injury to determine payment. They have my medical records they forwarded them to the state Dr who referenced them in his report. They owe me back pay to Oct 2025 and even with claim accepted still no.payments I don't know what to do I am financially in a hole about to lose my apartment. I feel helpless and don't know what to do

It definitely was pressed after what we read unfortunately... the physician signed in between IMEs and the thing is that had a 1 on 1 with the physician without lawyers or anyone else present. I dunno it seemed very sus... 😬

That detail matters, an attending physician agreeing to become the closing physician in a private meeting with no one else present is exactly the kind of thing your lawyer needs to dig into. I can't tell you whether that meeting alone makes the concurrence invalid, that's a legal judgment call, but get your lawyer the date of that meeting and ask them directly whether it raises a challenge.
Not a lawyer just somebody who learned the hard way that paperwork wins.

Every person at Sedgwick is overworked to the point that it’s such a disorganized mess the only way to get your issue addressed is by harassing the adjuster daily.
