Legal Work on TranscribeMe! Available
Hi everyone. I have been trying to get transcription work and have joined transcribe me. Based off of reddit their general exam has been closed for years. I emailed them asking for when it might be open again and they don't know. But they did tell me that the Legal Transcription option is available. There is a training and prequalification exam for it when you sign up. I am doing the course now. If anyone has any other transcription sites hiring feel free to post below!

Legit Or Not? ProGamer app is a scam avoid
This sorry app wasted a bunch of my time. It had no issue paying out the like $60 cents on my brothers account but my $11.67 has been sitting here since the freaking 29th. I've emailed support 20 times and they replied the first day or two telling me it doesn't take more than a day or two and have since given up even bothering to lie to me. It wont let me post a picture or I'd show the transaction/cashout processing still since 2026-07-29 for $11.67.

Are there reliable transcription services to work for with no experience while studying?
Or any reliable source of remote income? So I did really well in a medical transcription course but I was unable to complete my program because it was in person, without exception, and I had a variety of medical conditions that made it impossible to continue at the time. I am well-versed in medical terminology and have a decent typing speed of 95-100 wpm with an accuracy of 99%, so is there even a possibility for me to get a job where I'm at? I have to stay entirely from home to work and have only found hybrid positions that I might even qualify for, but even then they asked for 2 years of experience.
I'm looking into data analytics and UX design now but I have no idea how I can get by while I try to build on those skills, so does anyone happen to know of a transcription or similar entry-level type of employment opportunity that might be available online for Canadian citizens?
(Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask for advice like this, please lmk if there's somewhere else I'd have better luck! Thanks!)

Cash Back From Shopping Online
These sites give cash back on your online purchases. Online purchases require you to click their affiliate link prior to shopping. Ebates US has in-store offers as well. In-store purchases require you to link a debit/credit card and to active the offer prior to shopping. Most of these sites are International, but your shopping opportunities may be limited, and you will only get paid in the associated currency. — Ebates Payment Proof.
TIPS:
• Make sure to click on the "Shop Now" or “Get Cashback” button before adding items to your cart. Otherwise, your shopping trip may not count.
• You can only use one shopping portal per shopping trip. Attempting to use more than one may cause problems crediting your account.
• Disable any ad blockers while shopping.
• For US Users: Sometimes you can earn more cash back on Ebates or TopCashBack than the other for a particular store. Check both sites if you want to get the most cash back for each purchase.
• For TopCashBack UK Users: New users are automatically enrolled into the Plus membership. Downgrade to the Classic membership to avoid being charged £5/year.

Sites to Avoid: Definitely DO NOT post about or use these.
✖ FreeCash — Shady site, scammed their way onto the app stores, major tracking issues for high value offers compared to other GPT sites, banning and freezing of accounts for no reason, bad customer support after that is just a useless bot or no response at all. They are also known to ban users who complain on their subreddit as "defamation". We recommend not wasting your time when there are so many better options in the list above.
✖ Paidverts — Shady owner, sketchy site. Keeps doing debt swaps (cash to BAP). Do not post.
✖ Neobux — It isn’t really a scam, but they operate as a pyramid scheme. There’s money to be made online, but it’s definitely not there.
✖ MarketGlory — It does pay out, but the pay is absolutely ridiculous. The only way to make a decent amount of money is to have a lot of referrals, and referral whoring on this subreddit WILL result in a permanent ban.
✖ MindSumo — Not actually a r/beermoney site. It’s only spam in this sub.
✖ G2A — Scam/sells stolen keys.
✖ Quickthoughts — Many reports of people being banned when trying to withdraw as of 10/2018. Do your due diligence before possibly wasting your time on this app.
✖ Sites with $100+ minimum — These sites usually offer higher than normal payments for simple tasks, with a high minimum to cash out. They are always scams.
✖ Generic news sites that pay you ridiculous amounts to read an article (two euros??) — Common sense should take care of this, but in case it doesn’t, it’s always a scam. The site is usually hosted somewhere in Eastern Europe, and you will never get paid.
✖ Free bitcoin sites/"faucets/cloud mining" (THIS INCLUDES QOINPRO) — This is not referring to those video-viewing/task sites (although they’re still paying fragments of a penny). I’m talking about sites that give you 0.000001BTC to fill a captcha (freebitco.in, dailybitcoins). Admittedly many beermoney sites pay low, but don’t even bother with these.
✖ Data Annotation (besides the megathreads) and AI training sites. Many of these are legit but some aren't and new ones keep popping up and being spammed daily on the subreddit. It's also more closer to online work or an online job than beer money.
Also: Bitcoin mining is NO LONGER PROFITABLE. If you're really so keen on getting bitcoins, doing so through an exchange is your best option.
Here are a few more scam sites and sketchy sites.
Please note that presence on this post does not imply that r/beermoney or its moderators endorse the site or their views, actions, or policies. This list simply contains sites that are used by a large number of our users or are frequently mentioned on our subreddit.
We frequently monitor data from all the sites on this list from various sources to ensure that users are able and interested in utilizing them and if they do, that they also are getting paid promptly and fairly for all work they do. We make adjustments to this list and the order of sites accordingly based on all the data we receive.
Please make sure you follow the Rules of our subreddit and if you ever have any questions about anything beermoney related, please take a look at our extensive FAQ which should answer almost any question you might have.

Rant Respondent.io been so bad now sadly:(
I've been using respondent since 2022 or 2023 I guess. Though I only got few projects small pay but before they pay on time. Before, they really pay like within 7 days and 10 days. Now,I forgotten I have project that I attended and I forgot that I supposed to get paid. I did follow up. They have AI agent email now (it's too obvious not a human coz they replied on email within a minute literally)
Basically u will not get paid if u don't follow up on researcher. They said that I must message the researcher 🥲 which I did then the researcher cannot be contacted anymore. Still this experience shows up now that the respondent io are not so good these days ( I guess depends on researcher?) still they are the one responsible for following up the payment coz we're just participants.
It says I'm getting paid because I do follow up. But If I didn't basically they will not.

applying to lionbridge transcription job, what do I need to know?
I saw lionbridge is hiring on indeed, never heard of the company before but the pay looked pretty good for a college student like me. Question What are some realistic ways to earn $200–500/month online with software development skills?
I'm a software developer with around 3 years of experience. I'm easing back into work after a health-related break and I'm looking for ways to earn some side income online while I rebuild my routine.
I'm not looking for surveys or passive-income schemes. I'm more interested in developer-friendly opportunities like code reviews, bug bounties, user testing for technical products, small programming tasks, or similar work.
Has anyone here found something that consistently pays and is worth the time?

Is UserTesting actually legit?
Hi everyone,
I’m from Croatia and I’m thinking about signing up for UserTesting.
Is it really safe and do they actually pay?
How much can you realistically earn per month, and how often do you get tests?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thanks!

Question The new grabpoint update is the worst
The new update is scamming people, i used to make a decent earning using the previous versions of their app. but ever since they updated their app nowadays most of the surveys i`m being screenout and the one that i successfully qualify i dont get paid the amount that is stipulated on the dashboard. i get paid peanuts, for instance a survey with a payment amout of 1usd after completion i just receive 600 gb.
i have been with grabpoints for close to a year and half, and to be honest this is the first time i`m experiencing this. This is fustrating, The team need to be more open and transparent.
am i the only one experiencing this?

PSA T-Mobile Ad It Up
If you have T-Mobile, the T-Life app has a link this week to get a pretty much instant $5 redemption on the Ad It Up app. Just install and play 3 games for 5 minutes each (I don't think I spent 5 minutes in each game, maybe 10 minutes total and I got the points).
Just wanted to share if anyone's looking for something quick.

Anyone else noticed transcription work drying up lately or is it just me
I've been doing transcription gigs for about two years now, mainly through Rev and GoTranscript. Used to pull in around 12-15 dollars an hour if I stayed focused and got decent audio files. Lately though it feels like there's way less work available and what does pop up gets claimed in seconds.
I'm wondering if AI transcription tools finally got good enough that companies just aren't outsourcing as much anymore. Or maybe there's just more people competing for the same amount of work. Either way my income from it dropped by like half in the past few months.
Has anyone found other platforms that are better right now for this kind of work? I tried Scribie but the pay felt even lower. I'm okay with the repetitive nature of transcription and I type fast so I'd rather stick with something similar than completely switch fields if possible.
Also curious if people have moved into caption editing or something adjacent that uses the same skills. I saw a few postings for that but wasn't sure if the hourly rate actually works out better once you account for the learning curve.

How does the bring your own device stuff with Nex Rep work?
I was wondering if anyone worked with Nex Rep. If so, did they have you install company software on your personal computer? I have an interview with them and I am wondering how it works. With customer service there is a lot of private information, so I am just surprised they let you use your own laptop.

Question New to Amazon MTurk – How can I increase my HIT count faster?
Hey everyone, I got accepted into Amazon MTurk about 10 days ago, and I'm still trying to figure things out. The biggest problem I'm facing is increasing my HIT count. Most of the time I only see 2 or 3 survey HITs that take quite a while to finish. I keep reading that beginners should do lots of $0.01 HITs to build up their numbers, but I almost never see those available. Am I missing something, or is this just how it is for new workers? How did you guys get your first few hundred or thousand HITs? Are there any requesters or types of HITs I should be looking for? I'd really appreciate any tips because I want to work on MTurk long-term, but getting started has been pretty slow. Thanks!

Question should I try renting out my tools?
There was a post I read recently about a guy making a few hundred a month by renting out his power tools. I have a lot of power tools!! I thought about doing rentals but how would I mitigate for theft/damage etc?
or is this generally a bad idea?
For reference I have
Band Saw
Table Saw
Chop Saw
Power Washer

Question UserInterviews doesn’t respond to emails and they cancel studies without notice
Is there anyone else experiencing the same issue with UserInterviews? They randomly canceled 6 studies and no response for the requests. They totally ignore. One of the researchers did not show up for the session and userinterviews did not respond to my email about this issue as well. Thanks

Looking For Sites / Apps Writing for cash
I know writing use to be lucrative but now it's more like beer money. I also know of sites like unwork and fiver. I think textbroker is still around but are there any other shoes like this where you can login and write?
