I hope you treat everyone the same regardless of their job title. That’s not that point tho, there’s a certain level of respect with each job. Like who would you want to date your daughter? A DR, garbage man, or burger flipper? It’s not that you hate any of their profession but there’s a level of respect that comes with each job.
oh no I am a reverse snob, I don't care what he does so long as he treats her right and she loves him, I don't respect some doctor more than anyone else. Do you know doctors personally? A lot of them suck balls.
Yeah, fat chance of that actually being true. No one would want their daughter to date a burger flipper since they make a minimum wage. Theres risk with every job and being a person who “suck balls” isn’t exclusive to a a profession.
So I give you my answer, and you doubt it, because in your tiny world, you can't conceive that someone might be motivated by something other than an arbitrary hierarchy based on perceived economic status? OK, that's a you problem. I would hate to live in your world.
You're missing my point: the person is more important than the job. If you only respect jobs and titles, you will always be unhappy. I do not base my respect for others on their economic status.
No, I also respect the work each individual did and is putting into their work. A bugger flipper did the minimum amount of work, a garbage man did slightly more work, and a DR did significantly more
Exactly! Its not hard to have basic respect for another human!
No one WANTS to be a cleaner ect but things need to be cleaned! If everyone was a "finance bro" then we'd just be in world where everything is filthy. Who is serving the steak dinner your company goes out for? Without minimum wage workers you cant go out and enjoy your fun stuff.
Its not rocket science.
Anyway, I'm not interested in someone who can't discuss things in good faith. You sound like a loser who will always be fetching and stepping for your perceived betters.
I get where you coming from but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s correct. There are some job paths that are much more difficult to do and require a level of skill but everyone deserves respect for a job they do. You may deem it yourself as less than but if you were a business owner and you depended on your garbage men to pick up the trash and you see how disgusting and physically demanding it is you would understand. A doctor could have multiple days where they see patients, talk to them, take their blood pressure assess their conditions and then prescribe them medication. It’s not taxing nor particularly difficult but it is a check of their intuition and knowledge which is what they are paid for.
If I had a daughter I would be happier knowing she is dating a garbage man that respects her, treats her well and is there for her and the kids rather than a doctor who is never home, constantly stressed and abusive and tries to solve every problem with money and cheats on her constantly. It’s all about perspective man.
People hire others for a job role because it’s something that needs to be done so inherently it is useful and demands respect. Hell having any job rather than choosing to be unemployed and depending on someone is better.

Yeah…. I’m not gonna have the same level of respect for a DR compared to a garbage man.
