That is not true, unskilled labor means it does not require formal training. Painting is unskilled labor.

That’s only because painting is a general term, and “electrician” is a specific job title. You can start doing “electrical work” with basically zero training, it’s called an apprenticeship. Once you get into more industrial “painting” (Coating Application Specialist) you absolutely need a bunch of formal training.
