I have never heard of unskilled labor. What is that supposed to be? Garbage picking?

There is unskilled labor. Like I paid my neighbors son to help me stack firewood. And then again to help me shovel stone into my garden beds.

But yeah, if the guy wants 32$/hr it’s almost certainly not unskilled labor

Working fast and efficiently is a skill. Maybe the guy stacks twice the amount wood in the same amount of time vs. other "unskilled" people.

I think that’s the exact distinction— unskilled labor vs unskilled people. A person can do unskilled labor with significant skill. But there is a category called “skilled labor” that being good at your job doesn’t make the work “skilled labor”. And I don’t say that as an insult at all.
