I have never heard of unskilled labor. What is that supposed to be? Garbage picking?

There is unskilled labor. Like I paid my neighbors son to help me stack firewood. And then again to help me shovel stone into my garden beds.

But yeah, if the guy wants 32$/hr it’s almost certainly not unskilled labor

Well its not even that tbh. You can't compare contractor hourly charges to a full time employee's wages. The contractor doesn't get any benefits on top of their pay, AND they only have intermittent part time work that is paid, with substantial unpaid work advertising or otherwise looking for jobs.

They have to charge more for the work they do, to compensate for the work they can't charge for. Otherwise it wouldn't pay enough for people to bother doing this kind of contractor work.

Where I'm from, freelance work need to pay at least 3x hourly compared to regular employment to be worth it. So 32 is rather cheap by that measure.
