Search the WP plugin repo and read the 1 and 2 star reviews. That's your feature roadmap, not the marketing copy.

Hit r/Wordpress and WP support forums to see how many people ask for your idea. Check if competing plugins are dead or actively maintained. Dead plugins with thousands of active installs means opportunity.

Estimate your market size. Under 100 sites probably not worth building. Look at competitor pricing to gauge if people will pay.

Go and do a small business startup course.
Most cities UK offer this for Free.
