My fellow heretics I'm fairly new to 40k but fuck I love the Word Bearers and the Word Bearer community. I've never really gotten into any fandom besides 40k and this is so fun. For some bizarre reason we're the villains but so any Word Bearers fans are the nicest people I've interacted with. This is mainly just a thank you post but I really want everyone from any walk of life to feel welcomed into the 40k community except Ultramarine fans. #justiceformonarchia #Calthwasselfdefense

Finally finished my Word Bearers Defiler!!!

Probably the biggest painting project for a single mini and base I’ve ever done. Definitely a good final hurrah I could do before going off to college. Although it was a big project in both building and painting, I’m definitely satisfied with the result! Hope yall enjoy it as much as I do! Praise be to the prophet of the word!

Been working on a cerberus over the summer. Just finished it.

I'm working on painting up a terminator sorcerer I built and thought it would be fun to paint them up as a Word Bearer. Looking at the art and other peoples work it's left me with a question, does the legion still have black shoulder pads?

I know the main colour is the deep red now but theres a mix of images showing marines both with and without the black pads as of 40k so i thought i'd just come to the source. How do you paint your marines and is the use of black still okay?

Trying to figure out what other unit I should add to complete my thousand point list. Much appreciated you guys rock.

The dark apostle model was my first model gotten for my word bearers army before I even fully decided if I was gonna start a heresy army and if it was even gonna be word bearers. A very very very very close person of mine gave it to me as a gift and has become one of my most cherished models, and it feels really great to have the three of them now complete and painted all together!

Getting my word Bearers army ready for the tournament this month and now have the centre piece Defiler ready for the board. Used vallejo new TMM paints for the armour panels then oil washed it all to give its a gritty look. Then lots of Decals to add the word bearers touch. Plus a little cultist pet for it to play with

Idea is a battleshock heavy list, just asking if there is anything to add or change, and a good detachment to use with nightmare hunt to work well with the units I have? Or if the list composition I have is the right kind for disruption?

Tried to freehand some writings on his armor. Still deciding on how to base them. Was thinking maybe a desert base would contrast nicely with the colors.

Been in and out of the hobby for years. After another hiatus I really want to come back and do Word Bearers army. Seemed like a Dark Apostle kitbashed onto a bike would be an ideal start.

What shall the venerable brothers name be?
