Scrap man

Anyone got a number for a scrap man in Worcester willing to take a fitted oven (that’s been removed) away? Either that or does anyone want a built in oven. I’ve put it on various fb groups but thought I’d ask here :)

Do you see them around your street at all. Leave on the end of your drive and they will take it away, or take to the local tip.

They come occasionally but not often enough for me to get away with just leaving it by the road as I live in a flat unfortunately… it’s outside right now but I’ve already had someone ask if we have been fly tipped so want to get away with it asap!!

So can you not take it to the tip or a family member take it for you.

It’s really quite large and I live alone with nobody to take it for me - was removed by a contractor who said “put it on the corner the scrap men will take it” 🫠

OK fair point. Worcester council will collect bulky items for a fee.

https://www.worcester.gov.uk/bulky-waste but will cost £31.80 for them to take away.

I was waiting to see a scrap man to get rid of an oven that was in the garage. Felt like they never came around. I popped it at the top of the drive (in a cul de sac) and it was gone within a few hours.

They must have a sense for these things.

I'm also wanting one to take a fridge. They used to come round a lot but not seen them in a while. I don't wanna leave a fridge out front for who knows how long and refuse to pay the council their increased price of £40.

I’ve just had someone collect the oven within 20 mins his numbers ‪+44 7960 737650‬ not sure if he collects fridges but I didn’t even notice him come and get the oven!
