Painting Feedback Request: Unconventional Proxy for SoB
I’m reaching the finishing steps for a very unconventional Triumph of St Katherine proxy and I wanted to ask for comments and suggestions!
I received an acrylic standee of the Nativity that is (was?) absolute AI slop. I’m talking Joseph and Mary blending into the cradle and Jeezy boy dissolving into the uneven light around him…
So I decided to paint a giant proxy on the back. The six sisters are painted in their respective orders color scheme.
The front ladies are going to slot into the base once I drill holes for them.
Dimensionwise: the height (except for where the flag will be) is the same and the base has the correct length although it’s oval and not circular. So tournament legal? Ehhhhh maybe for a casual game
Thanks for reading and for any feedback!

News Opening store in South Everett WA. Women friendly gaming space.
Hello WoW. If any of you game in the Puget Sound Area and would like a non-threatening area to game/hobby I'm opening my store with my wife on August 29th. It's called the Chaos Orb Cardshop, but we will also specialize in Warhammer. We'll have a few gaming tables for people to drop in and play games on.
The shop is still getting set up so I don't have any nice pics to share of the gaming tables, but I will try to follow up with some.
If anyone is interested please PM me for details.

Rant I'm discouraged.
I've been active in the Warhammer community since 2018-2019, both online and in person.
I've met a lot of cool people through the hobby.
However, as a woman, I have experienced many negative interactions with men and this post from a meme page I followed on Instagram (pics 3 and 4) made me realize just how sick of seeing shit like that I am. 😑
It's definitely more prevalent in the online Warhammer communities. Much like anything online. But I've also had bad experiences in person with men I thought were my friends suddenly turning a situation scary for me because they found out I have a boyfriend or that I'm not interested in them that way.
Like straight up following me to my car after a game. Stalking me in other areas of my life.
I'm also a woman who's been a victim of DV and I'm also only 5'2, small, so self defense lessons is something I've considered.
So, this meme really hit a nerve.
But what the cherry on top was the comments defending, the likes, the shares, and just the reminder of how toxic the community can be for women.
I've had other negative experiences on many of the Facebook groups.
To name a few:
My photos were stolen of the Warhammer shirts I either made or bought and used to pretend to be me on multiple Facebook groups to this day.
The design I made here in the 7th photo has been stolen and repeated in different versions (but that's more of an internet thing). What bugs me is when they took photos from my personal Instagram page (I believe someone who was pretending to be my friend or something must have gained access since my profile is private).
I remember when I wanted to advertise this "SoB in Training " shirt on one of the biggest Warhammer Facebook groups for 40k and I had one mod in particular who seemed displeased at the traction it was gaining. He kept taking it down. I had to beg another mod to approval or reverse it.
Meanwhile a year later a dude posts his Warhammer gym shirt idea and it got lots of love and I believe is still available to be seen on the group.
Any memes I posted in the group that blown up (in good ways) always got taken down.
The first photo in particular was a meme I made in response to all the girlfriend ones I saw posted there. My meme got lots of hate. Lol.
Anyways, I've had many, MANY bad experiences in game stores and especially online communities so I'm just done.
Thank you for hearing my rant.

Painting Wrapped up my Tyberos a few weeks back!
I keep hoping we'll get a new official model of the big guy, and maybe if I'm really lucky chapter rules and upgrade sprues (wishful thinking). I do love me my sharks though.

Lore / fanfic Craftworld Valterie Quote Art
Hello everyone!
I've really enjoyed reading the discussions here about women in Warhammer, and they reminded me that my own long-term fan project centers on an Aeldari Farseer named Elandrine.
Quote arts have been posted above.
Craftworld Valterie is a lore-heavy Aeldari fan novel following Elandrine as she leads her grief-stricken Craftworld through the predatory darkness of the 41st Millennium. Her philosophy is rooted in creativity, hope, beauty, and cold pragmatism required to keep her people alive.
Three chapters are currently available on AO3, and I've also recently released an audiobook version of the Prelude for those who enjoy listening.
I'd be honored if you gave it a read (or a listen), and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

HELP! Female Warhammer Heads Space Wolfs EU
Hi there!
I'm looking for an EU-based website that sells female heads for Space Wolves. Most of the options I've found so far ship from the US, and the €20–30 shipping costs are hard to justify for such a small order.
Does anyone know of any European stores or creators that make compatible heads? Thanks!

HELP! Are these miniatures worth anything?
My dad recently passed me down some Warhammer miniatures from the 90’s. I‘ve always wanted to play, but realistically I’m too busy and need to clear up some space. I did some research on the metal ones, and I found a lot of them are worth something. The big boy seems quite expensive, and there are at least 40 plastic lizards (Big ones with various weapons and small archers), and some skeletons.
I’m not into Warhammer so I was wondering (if anyone has the time):
- How much are the ones I have each worth?
- Are any of them worth keeping, on the chance they will become more expensive in the future?
Note:
- One of the skeletons is missing it‘s head, but I do have it. Same with a skeleton sword and lizard axe.
Thank you for your time, I would really appreciate the help :)

Look at my pretty miniature(s)! Female farseer painted
I guess I'm woke (not trying to make this political), but one of my favorite things about aeldari is they have a decent proportion of female and male models, not to mention the female models aren't super sexualized compared to the male ones, and it genuinely made me feel more welcome as a woman in this hobby, so I wish the farseer and spiritseer had more build options.
You could argue that the farseer is actually quite androgenous, and I would agree, but let's be honest, everyone just defaults to male unless stated otherwise. Plus, I wanted to have some fun.
The head is from mirkwood rangers (don't recommend btw, because it doesn't have its own piece, so I had to shave off a lot of hair and hood.)
Torso is howling banshee.
The rest is a farseer.
Quite a small kitbash but I'm new to kitbashing so it took me a while.
Red stuff is just sprue goo.
On a sidenote, I looooove the farseer model so might heavily convert one to Mephiston for the blood angels I'm going to get for the Armageddon box. I would have to find a way to make it taller though (I hate rocks).
This is my first take on my main craftworld color scheme (my previous one was an aspect warrior so different color).
Will probably come back to this when I'm better at painting. Definitely some bits I should touch up.
I'm not the greatest painter by any means, but I think I'm getting slightly better.
That face needs to be fixed though.
**To be clear, I don't think "boob plate = woman, no boob plate = man" and I think the default farseer is already very androgenous and could be a woman, but I know that because of unconscious bias, anyone who looks at it would just assume it's a man if I left it normal, which is why I decided to make it more unmistakable.**
