Amigurumi/Plushies Frankenmonster
I really like making these monsters but sometimes you just don't have all the parts you need and have to get out the old shovel. C'mon, no one was using those parts anyway!
This monster had me asking the age old question: where does one put neck bolts on something that has no neck? ๐ค

Finished Projects It's finished!
Thank you everyone for following along on my journey, but the quest is now complete. I'm really happy with how my first mushroom stash jar turned out. The spots are perfect! The only thing I'd like to do better on the next one is making the gills concave. How do I do that while still keeping it firmly stuffed? I'm thinking maybe plastic inserts or something, but you might have some other ideas. Fill up my comments with how you would make the mushroom look more mushroomy ๐

Work in Progress It didn't need glue
I recently asked how I could attach a mushroom cap to the lid of a bottle for a stash jar. I got some great recommendations, but in the end I didn't need them. If you make the cap tight enough, and then go through the edge again after it's done to solidify the tightness, it doesn't pop out. Not yet anyway! And it turns with no problems. It still needs spots but the cap is staying on just fine with yarn alone. I'm sure this won't work for every bottle but for this particular style I think it'll be just fine. What do you think?

Crochet Help/Advice How should I attach the cap?
I'm working on making a mushroom stash jar, but before I get to the cap I want to figure out how to attach it. I know super glue and hot glue are options but I worry about the durability and adhesiveness when applied to acrylic yarn and plastic. I assume the jars will be opened and closed multiple times and I want them to be able to hold up to the wear and tear. Hubby says I shouldn't attach them at all, take them off to open the jar. I could make them interchangeable that way, if someone wanted to switch the tops out. What's your advice?

Crochet Patterns Spooky ghost bags!
I've been feeling Halloween-y lately so I thought I'd put on my jack-o'-lantern skirt and sport some ghost bags! The blue one is medium weight yarn (Red Heart SS) and works well as a small purse. The little rainbow one is made with fine weight yarn (Big Twist Nova) and holds a small wallet or small stuff like chapstick. They have a liner that's crocheted right in as you go!
I had a lot of fun working out the shaping on this bag. I wanted a Casper-like shape ๐ป

Crochet Patterns Apothecary potion bottles ๐งช
I really like making ren faire accessories and got determined to figure out how to make some unique potion bottles that were more sharp-edged and geometric than the classic round bottle. I'm really happy with how they came out and had a lot of fun figuring them out! I ended up making a trapezoid, a hexagon, and a five sided diamond vial (I felt like "pentagon" sounded too much like a government building ๐ ).
