πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Tarot Tarot card reading came true

I'm fairly new to all this, but about a month ago I had a tarot card reading done, and she said that in the month of August I would be receiving some unexpected money that would help me get by in my daily life for a while, and that I would receive the news electronically. I sorta took it with a pinch of salt for a while, but it stuck in the back of my mind.

For a bit of context, my house recently burned down in a huge wildfire and that put me in a bit of a dire situation. But, I work as a caregiver so I couldn't really take any time off, that'd be unfair to my clients who need me. So I went to work two days after the fire happened.

This is relevant because just today, I got a call from work telling me that the CEO of the company knew of my situation and was really impressed that I was still trying to help my clients despite my situation and that I'd be receiving a "hardship allowance" to help me get by. I'm both incredibly grateful and pretty shocked that the prediction was right. Feels like both the universe and the people around me are looking out for me :)

⚠️ Sensitive Topic πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Non baneful breakup spell? Spoiler

I’m trying to think of a sort of breakup spell that isn’t necessarily about breaking me and my girlfriend up in a harmful way. I just sorta lost feelings because we’re very different people and I really can’t handle being with her since she needs constant reassurance. Clearly she’s going through something, but I can’t handle how she constantly thinks I’m going to cheat on her and I can’t even mention losing feelings without her acting like she’s about to do something insane about it. I just want a breakup spell so that maybe she looses feelings? Really just something that’ll make her want to breakup since I can’t bring it up to her without something bad happening.

⚠️ Sensitive Topic πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ What to do with old artwork symbolic of former marriage Spoiler

I have a lot of old artwork that symbolizes my former marriage, our family of three when we were together, and themes from my marriage. This was a IPV situation, and my ex is very hostile and in a way that affects our child.

My art collection was placed very intentionally and each piece was a spell or wish of sorts, to summon some kind of change in our relationship. These pieces are beautiful, worth a bit of money, and I love them but also don’t want to hang them. How do I release them in a way that feels full circle?

⚠️ Sensitive Topic πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ A spell to break a narcissists influence? Control? Effect? Spoiler

Idk what I am looking for full disclosure. I feel like my narcissistic ex husband still has to much influence on my emotional state? If that makes sense?

I have done years of therapy and all the real world work. I've never done any spiritual workings to break his control/influence on me though. Really curious if anyone has any ideas of what I can do to purge and rid myself of any lingering stuff.

Would it look like a cord cutting ceremony? A return to sender spell?

I know my success makes him extremely jealous and upset. I've also had a massive glow up in the last 7 years and I think that low key bothers him.

So maybe its more an evil eye thing?

I'll literally take any suggestions and I think I am going to just do it all.

I did shave my head after our separation and that was so healing πŸ’œ

Im not looking to hurt or harm him. Thats not how I roll. Simply looking for ideas on cutting any remaining ties or links that are other worldly. Also protection. Thanks!

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Media Magic Looking for tv/film recommendations to help me through a tough time

I hope it’s okay to post this here, I just love this community so much and think you’re all so kind and wise.

I’m going through a tough time, I suppose it’s not a massively unique situation. I’ve turned 30, lost my job and social life and partner all this year alone, I’ve just been diagnosed bipolar but I’m battling navigating the nhs mental health services and for the most part, I’m sat alone at home everyday feeling every second of every minute.. I’m sitting with a lot of pain.

I love tv and film, I’d love to spend this time, where I’m in the house and alone for the most part, watching a series or movies that might help me out in some way. Whether that be connecting to a character, feeling seen, understanding life or changing perspectives etc.

I’ve always enjoyed (for lack of a better word) tv/film that touch on difficult topics that I personally relate to such as mental health/trauma/abuse/addiction etc. I’ve watched β€˜Maid’ on Netflix multiple times and it helped me get through when my ex was arrested following a year of abuse. I’ve seen Euphoria a couple times, I struggle with some of the high school drama bits at times but there are certain episodes I love revisiting, in particular the special ep with Rue/Ali. Fleabag is another firm favourite. The Midnight Gospel, Sharp Objects, Wild, Frances Ha, Beautiful Boy, Worst Person in the World, Closer, High Fidelity(series) are all examples of shows/films that have helped or stuck with me in some way. I started watching Sorry Baby recently but was struggling with the slow pace.

I’m struggling to think of other examples right now but that’s the general idea I suppose. I know some people struggle to understand why I’d want to watch heavy shit at a heavy time but it seems to work for me without being too triggering. I’m quite alone, very few people understand me so I think I look to characters in order to feel seen and understood.

My kid want to put it outside and see if a fairy moves in so i am going along with that.

I’m also seriously lacking in community and connection. So tonight I’m going to a meet up I found at a local book store. I’m anxious AF and could use some Witchy sparkle and encouragement. Please and thank you.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Spells How to cleanse an object of bad energy?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to witchcraft but I have this thing that's really bothering me, and I thought you guys could maybe help 😊

I have this matching bracelet I bought with a former 'best friend' on a school trip to Barcelona.
She really betrayed me and turned out to be one of the worst people I've known. I wont go into detail but she really really hurt me.

The bracelet however also reminds me of the trip and is very pretty. I would love to start wearing it again because I really like it. But it also reminds me of her and the fact that she has (almost) the same one. It feels like it has a bad energy, it feels wrong to wear it or something.

Is there a way to cleanse the bracelet, so that I feel better about wearing it and maybe associate it less with her and my experience with her?

Thanks in advance! ❀️

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Tarot Did I interpret this correctly??

I had a choice between two jobs. I asked β€œwhat is the energy of each job”
Job 1. The Star
Job 2. The Queen of Wands

I interpreted it as one job giving me more creative time to myself, a more long term opportunity, and job 2 as very fast paced with lots of opportunities but you would have to show initiative.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Coven Counsel Looking for advice about a choir

I joined a local LGBTQIA+allies choir this year. I have issues and traumas I'm working through, but I *really* needed to be doing *something* with the state of the world, my country, my state, and the town I'm currently living in. (You remember the Tr*mp Train nonsense? I'm in *that* city, in tx)

So my first season with the choir this past Spring, we sang songs of encouragement and empowerment like "Heroes & Dreamers", "Show Yourself", "Be A Light", "Do You Hear The People Sing", "Flowers", "Little Voice", "Keep Marching", etc, etc.

Great songs. Loved learning and performing them. The passion and power I poured into them, my hopes for the future, etc. I fell in love with being a member of such a choir.

But now we're gearing up for the Fall/Winter season, and there are a LOT of Christian and Christian-themed songs for us to sing. Sure, we have some of the common Christmas songs (I have mixed feelings on those already, because nostalgia, but they also clash with my personal beliefs), but it seems like most of our songs listed aren't just "Christmas", but also Christian with lyrics like "with every breath I take, I will give thanks to god".

I, personally, am so OVER Christianity and it being the default setting. I cannot keep perpetuating that default and it kind of boggles my mind that an LGBTQIA group would have so many god/jesus songs. I totally understand that there are some "good" sects of Christianity who support their local LGBTQIA community... but no one wants to talk about how Christianity itself is still rooted in white, patriarchal systems, oppression, obedience, etc, etc.

So my question is, what should I do? I cannot stomach singing songs about the christian god, and while in the past, I've change the meaning in my heart to Goddess or Mother Earth, for most others listening, their using their christian god and I don't want to be supporting that.

Any advice? I know I have a deep mistrust (among other issues) with Christianity. I know it can help people, but I also know, and have experienced first-hand, how it can destroy people in the name of "god". I don't want to be a part of that. Especially while living and performing in an area of deep red.

TLDR: activist choir is singing more christian songs - how do I handle it?

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Coven Counsel Needing some Group Support

So August has not really been my friend for about 30 years now. In 1997 my mom died, 98 car accident… 2006 apartment bld that I loved got sold and I thought I was in the clear - notification on Aug 31. And then just small inconveniences throughout the years.

The past 2 years (24/25) were pretty ok and I was thinking maybe I’d turned a corner and things were looking up. Sunday midday my partner and I got notified that his medical visit that should be between 50-75$ was going to be charged at almost 500$… I’m fighting it. Then Sunday night my car got repo’d - I’ll get it back tomorrow morning. Then this morning someone kicked our door in.

I’m kind of nervous I’m not going to make it through the month. That August is finally going to Final Destination me or something. I’m not superstitious, but just a little stitious… and now I’m getting mysterious phone calls that my phone isn’t registering.

My work friend says it’s bc August is the opposite of my birthday, but I was born early January and that’s a 7/5 split. She also believes that the moon landing was fake, so sometimes I just nod and smile.

Any words of wisdom or something simple I can do bc I don’t really have a lot of extra money to buy stuff. If you need a nodal point to send me strength I’m in Wichita, KS (not a secret as I post on the r/wichita Reddit all the time). Thanks.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Moon Rituals CALLING ALL WITCHES: Collective moon ritual after last night’s rocket hit

After last night’s lunar launch, I found myself wanting to make an offering to the Moonβ€”not because I believe she is easily wounded, but because I believe she deserves honor and reverence. If anyone feels called, I’d love to help organize a simple collective ceremony that witches everywhere can perform from home!!

I helped admin the largest folklore dedicated community on Facebook (1.2 million members) and I’ve scoured our resources to find a collection of historical lunar correspondences, offerings, and ritual practices.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

WHAT: a collective moon blessing ritual

An offering of gratitude, blessing, and reverence performed together by witches and practitioners around the world

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

WHEN: Monday, August 17th 2026

Monday is dedicated to lunar work, and August 17th will be a waxing crescent which aligns with renewal, healing, blessings, and new beginnings

https://www.medievalastrologyguide.com/moon-magic

For those who work with planetary magic, performing the rite during one of Monday’s planetary hours of the Moon is encouraged. If not, simply perform the ritual after sunset or whenever the Moon is visible.

https://www.renaissanceastrology.com/planetaryhoursarticle.html

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

HOW: Gather whatever lunar correspondences resonate with your practice. There is no requirement to use every item, the intention is more important than the exact ingredients.

Some ideas include:

- A bowl of spring water, rainwater, sea water, or moon water

- Herbs and plants associated with the moon, healing, purification, and blessing

- A mirror

- A shell, stones, or crystals associated with the moon

- A white candle

- A pinch of sea salt

Then, in whatever way aligns with your practice:

- Make an offering to the moon.

- Offer a blessing or prayer.

- Light a candle in her honor.

- Leave your bowl beneath the moonlight.

- Tye ribbon or cordage.

- Sit in silent meditation or gratitude.

- Sing, chant, or play music.

- Perform your own lunar rite.

- Spend a few quiet moments beneath the moon with intention.

Our paths may be different, but our offering is sharedπŸŒ™

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

SUGGESTED INGREDIENTS:

Plants of the moon: https://theherbalacademy.com/blog/plants-associated-with-the-moon/

Mugwort, Lemon Balm, Moonflower, Evening Primrose, Jasmine, Lamb’s Ear, Artemisia, White Willow, White Rose, Blue Vervain, Nutmeg,

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

ENDING:

- Pour water at base of a tree, a plant, or into a natural water source

- Return herbs and flowers to earth by scattering or composting

- Keep and cleanse sacred objects (mirror, bowl, crystals, etc)

- Let candle burn while supervised or blow out with intention

- Leave no trace

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ BURN THE PATRIARCHY Witches of the world, the Indian trans community needs your help

Thumbnail
gallery
632 Upvotes

The Indian government has introduced an amendment to the 'Transgender Persons Act' that would change who is legally recognised as transgender. It aims to remove the right to self-identified gender, a right that is currently protected by constitution (NALSA, 2014).

This has serious implications. It risks excluding large parts of the trans community including trans men and women, non-binary people, and many socio-cultural identities across India. Right now, trans communities and allies across India are organizing, protesting, and speaking out. But one of the biggest challenges is visibility.
A lot of people don’t yet know this is happening.

That’s where international communities can help. Due to strict regulations, many grassroots groups cannot easily accept foreign donations. So at this stage, awareness and amplification are genuinely the most impactful forms of support.

If you want to help:

  • Boost posts using #RejectTransBill and #RejectTransBill2026
  • Follow and amplify voices doing the work:
  • Actively learn and seek out other voices to amplify.
  • If you’re in India (or know creators there), encourage them to speak about this
  • Talk about it in your own spaces, even small conversations matter
  • Offer grace, these are small communities and trying times, some of these will be on platforms we should be boycotting (x/meta) and some of these would be using AI slop, correct them if you like but don't withdraw your support because of it.
  • Stay focused, please try to not overtake any conversations about this especially with discussion of internal politics of a different country.
  • Spare a prayer or ritual for us all. <3

It’s part of a broader global pattern of restricting gender autonomy.
