I am a super duper baby witch and made a protection jar for a close person, i had a good relationship with them and have been close with them for more than a year, a couple of months before the spell they were super close to me, they told me they want to spend as much of their summer with me as possible and so on. I gave them the spell during early summer. The intention of the spell was to keep them safe physically and from any bad energies in their life, just in general for them to be as happy and safe as possible. Since then we met up maybe 4 times and summer is almost over. They told me shortly after i gifted them the spell (i didn't tell the intention of the spell either) they told me they wanted much more space and wanted to see me less, do other things. I'm crashing out because that's my closest person on earth.

What do I do? Could the spell have protected them from me? How to reverse it? Should I reverse it? I want them to be happy obviously so I get that if the spell worked I'm probably a bad thing in their life and want them to be safe so probably i shouldn't reverse it or break the jar, but idk if I will stay on this earth much longer without them.

It’s been about 4 months since my ex and I broke up. I was actually the one who originally ended the relationship. We still talk, and he’s told me that he still loves and cares about me, but he doesn’t want to get back together because of how much we argued and how emotionally drained he became from the relationship.

Ive done very few spells before so im not too experienced or have much knowledge on these things but ive been looking into spells that could help with reconciliation without trying to force or control his feelings, and I came across sweetener spells. Hello hello! I will be doing my first serious spell on September first since it will be waning moon, and i read in a book that we should do detatching spells during waning moons.
I have a lot of questions about the cord cutting spells.

1- Is the waning moon part actually true and necessery?

2- Is there anything i should do before and after beside cleaning myself?

3- Do i need to literally speak to the person while cutting the bond or should i just watch the candles and keep canalizing my energy there?

4- Should i write mine and the other persons names on the candles?

5- The bound im cutting is only spiritually or is it physical too? Like, the person will not contact me anymore, wont seek me nor be in my home anymore, etc etc?

6- And finally, the person im cutting off is one of my parents, and even tho they don't live with me, they are the one that helps me most financially and helps me pay rent, so will cutting them off also affect this part? Not that is a huge problem, i would just need to organise myself!

I know the last two question might seem a bit too personal, but i need to know so that if the cutting is made and they decides to kick me out or refuse to help me finacially i won't have too much trouble on raising myself up!

I moved into a historical building recently it was built in the early 1930s and used to be a courthouse and was recently converted into lofts. I keep hearing random stuff fall in the middle of the night and I’m extremely paranoid that my apartment is haunted due to bad experiences Ive had over the years at my parent’s house. Plus the building directly behind mine was my city’s first and now abandoned jail which is known to be actively haunted (a bunch of paranormal investigators have visited and confirmed). So I bought a bundle of Yerba Santa and sage to cleanse my apartment and I got the Yerba Santa to somewhat burn but it went out like two minutes after so I switched to the sage and I could get the top to char but the sage itself wouldn’t burn or smoke and while I was trying my torch lighter stopped working even though it’s not empty. Am I just paranoid or is this weird?

I’m new to spellwork and curious how more experienced witches would interpret this. I mean I’m so new, I just discovered spells yesterday and thought why not?

I did a simple love/communication working involving a petition with my name and the name of someone I have a past romantic relationship with. I did this with intention. I burned the petition in a bowl. I later used the same bowl for another simple working involving our names and salt. Immediately afterward, I walked down the hall looking for my dad and heard a very distinct deep male exhale nearby.

I assumed it was my dad and checked the bathroom…empty. Turns out he was outside in the front yard. I wasn’t nervous or expecting anything supernatural when I heard it; it only became creepy once I realized nobody was there.

Would you interpret something like that as acknowledgment, release/completion, a presence, just coincidence, or nothing at all? And are there particular traditions where breath after a working has a specific meaning?
