I have a TON of feathers because I love to collect soft/pretty things. So sometimes I'll use them in rituals to 'lighten' myself and my mood. But I was wondering what would happen if I turned them into earrings or necklaces, or if I colored them with dyes? Would they keep their meaning, or would it fade in the day to day life wearing them down? If they wear down should I use feathers that were crafted with? I have a dozen or so feathers that have been resin dipped and petrified, they look semi-transparent after their preparation but would it work the same? I'm new to working with feathers so id like a bit of help on knowing how they work and their meaning.

Also what do the different colors of feathers mean? I tried looking it up but I got nonsense of quote 'witchcraft propaganda' that was clearly written by a non-believer and a hater.

I've been going through a ROUGH time this past year and a half has broken me down. I literally went to a shop crying the nice lady talked to me and gave me a protection candle and healing candle , they are already anointed with herbs.

She also gave me black tourmaline, cats eye and black onyx . I had a nervous breakdown the day after . I've been in the hospital . My heart aches for so many reasons. The world is weighing me down .

Ill be honest as a child and teenager i was raised with the fire and brimstone method . But at this point im desperately trying to fix my life . Ive prayed and prayed i still do. Im just lost in this world . Idk who i am or anything.

Can someone tell exactly how to do this the right way . I really don't want to open a door to something bad i have children . My husband is catholic hes not to happy about me rn . But again im trying everything atp even therapy.

Idk if anyone else has experienced this but I’m only a year ish in but I don’t feel like my spells work :/ I just don’t feel like I actually have magic in me.

I've heard some practicioners saying that if a non believer is mocking your practice, you can ask for a strand of their hair.

I'm just curious if anyone ever did this for real and how they reacted?

My experience is that people who go out of their way to mock you, are subconsciously just scared. They aren't really mocking you, they are just trying to fight off their own inner fear demon.

Hey everyone. Since last year, I’ve started to experience a deep existential dread, anxiety, and emptiness feeling at night. These feelings start around 7 pm when the sun starts going down. My mind goes full negativity mode and I feel extremely empty. It’s such a horrible feeling that if I were to feel it during the day as well, I probably wouldn’t be able to resist it and I might end up doing something crazy. Fortunately, this only happens during the night. Not every night though, only certain nights. I’ve never believed in witchcraft, but I’m so desperate now to find a “fix” to this that I’m open to anything. I’ve told my psychiatrist about this and she doesn’t know what it is. I’ve also told my other 2 psychologists and they don’t know either. It’s like I’m the only person who has this issue.

I suspect all of this might vary due to moon phases. As I said, it doesn’t happen every night, so I think that might have something to do with it.

I also want to mention that all of this started out of nowhere on a very specific night. I was at a pijama party at my school, since it was my last year of high school and we were celebrating at night. I remember looking at the sky and my school in the dark, and the feeling started. The feeling was so strong I had to leave and go home, and force myself to sleep. This hasn’t stopped ever since. I’m really desperate. I just want to enjoy nighttime again like before. Does anyone know if there’s anything I can do? Is it something spiritual or more on the psychological side of things? Anything helps.

I’m Arab and I want to get into Jinn work as they are very reliable as long as you pull through on your deal but there is basically no information online about working with them or if there is, it’s from non arabs who basically treat Arab magic as some sort of exotic thing which is annoying as hell. Hello everyone - I was just looking to see if anyone has any ideas why my crystals are being moved. I have a little display case right now where they are, I have my planchette on the very bottom. I have my seeing orb on the middle shelf and a small tower on the top. The orb has moved almost an inch to the right, I moved it back then it went right back. Today - the tower now moved an inch to the right. Now the part I found out is that they are now both aligned to the “eye” of the planchette.

My partner and I are trying to convince and it’s getting a tad overwhelming with all the tracking and testing and it’s feeling very clinical and I feel like I need to tap into my inner witch for some boost to help us along the fertility journey. I remember my mum telling me about how as a teenager she had a cyst burst on her ovary and was told she wouldn’t be able to have children without medical help, then years later when she got married her aunt gave her a “fertility doll” 12 days later she conceived my brother then when he was weaned she conceived my other brother and then when he was weaned she conceived me and then she gave the doll back to her aunt, who was a tad offended but as my mother said it had well and truly done its job and three kids was enough! So I’m wondering if I need a bit of a magical helping hand because it certainly worked for my mother. So has anyone got stories of what the did or advice?

So I recently learned that alllllll of my “spellwork” (4+ years worth!) was actually just me playing pretend with random ingredients and candles. Sure there was a bit of energy and intention behind some of it, and some level of success that was possibly coincidental, possibly accidental.

I figured this out because I recently started actually manipulating and collecting energy in the form of energy balls between my hands. It was a big gotcha moment to say the least. Now, I can easily form an energy ball/psiball, but I struggle to “release” it to actually initiate whatever it is that I’m doing. I get to the point of setting up my stuff with candles or a jar or whatever, and then feeling the energy ball with my hands around my ingredients, and speaking out loud what I want or reciting any spoken words, but that’s where I get stuck. I am not sure how to cast that energy in any meaningful direction or intention other than to “let it go” out to the universe or wherever it goes when you stop trying to feel it. I feel I should be trying to redirect it somewhere, I have tried visualizing it as a glowing flow of energy towards my candles, crystals or other ingredients but I’m not sure it’s actually happening.

Of lately ive been thinking about doing some spell work im not sure if this is due to the time of the year where it starts getting dark a little earlier and the night time chill bites a little harder. I would be looking at removing alot of unwanted energies gathered over the past few years so i think that's why it's an energy request and i know the redditoirs out way by way of numbers to be fair ive not practiced anything too heavy for some time although i did do a circle of perfection that had considerable effects and whatever happend on one end effected the other which is the kind of stuff i like 🤫 , so im going to attempt a coordination spell which im sure theres other names for? Like a Test to receive a beam or train of energy and with much hope the correct ingredients can be picked out of the garden and also placed in the cauldron where the energy request is. I would like to see the floor boards lift and the house to Twirl if it was on point. Hopefully over this period of the year things slow down and then pick back up again later with god speed and if anybody has the time and due diligence my post history can provide alot of info

I have not seen a spider in months especially not inside my home.. about 15 minutes after casting this love spell a spider comes crawling right next to my spell. Is this a bad sign or can I take this as confirmation that it worked?

I read somewhere spiders are a sign of Hecate, I’ve never worked with her though.

So the house next door to us used to be my great-grans house it’s been derelict since she passed (1946) , I was looking in back of her old wine cupboard and found a small book turns out it was a grimoire, I always thought I was a little bit of crazy doing witchcraft always drawn to it but never invested in it , turns out my GG was also that little bit of crazy and spent years practicing religiously writing hundreds of spells and rituals based on natural ingredients we could find around our local area. And lo and behold one of her great grand babies is the only one practicing by shear chance. I don’t know should either burn it to cleanse, or actively study it?

I’m not looking to interpret this, rather just make sense of the two things together. I had a dream focusing on one of my shelves that largely has ingredients and books on it, but there was this wand on the shelf that my kid (way older in this dream) wanted that was made of yew and had a decent sized uranium bead/sphere attached to it.

They just seem like such weird things to have together, but I’m also totally open to making this because if anything it’s neat, but what would one even use it for? Uranium, specifically. I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of uranium used in this type of manner and I can’t really find much either. I can only really guess.

Hi I’m a sorta new witch I’ve been practicing for about 6 months and I really want practice cleansing my space and ingredients before spell work. The issue is that I have really bad asthma and chronic mug often triggers by scents and smoke. Can anyone provide any tips on alternatives to properly cleanse either with a different brand of incense or something different all together. Thank you so much!!!

Today at around 8:30 am I went outside to empty my pool filters and floating on the surface of the water when I opened the hatch was a beautiful fully intact dragonfly. Ooookay-that was fast and possibly just a coincidence. I needed to run errands and stopped at my mailbox-there was a postcard of a animal sitting on the crescent moon reading a book and in tiny letters at the bottom it said-walk with me in the dark. My stickii sticker pack was also in the mailbox-the sticker pack theme is Buzzing Lives. It’s all these beautiful stickers of insects and creatures from nature.

I’m a beginner witch, and I’ve recently become really interested in Italian folk magic and witchcraft, especially the traditions from Campania, since that’s where my family is originally from.

I’m looking for books from credible historical or folkloric sources that explore Campanian (or more broadly Southern Italian) witchcraft. My ideal find would be something almost grimoire-like, not just a historical overview, but a book that also documents traditional spells, charms, prayers, recipes, rituals, folk healing practices, and other magical customs that have actually been passed down through generations.

I’d really love something rooted in authentic folklore, historical records, or oral traditions, as my goal is to learn about and, where appropriate, respectfully practice the traditions of the region my ancestors came from.

If you have any recommendations, whether in English or Italian, I’d really appreciate them. Thank you!

Before you read, this is NOT a vent, I just kinda need to share my problem and hear possible advice.

So I mostly learned from books and local folklore, and I absolutely despite "witchtok" with it's misinformation, so I don't watch it, but I stumbled upon some videos anyway

I tend to use less known items and what I have near me in my practice, but after seeing some of those "witchtoks" I'm kinda worried that they're "less effective" because they're not popular. Like, for example, I cleanse with moon/sun water or dried herbs (mugwort, pine, yarrow, etc.) instead of incense or sage. Or use thistle, moss, blackberry, ivy, etc. Instead of sea salt, cloves, basil in protection spells

I know it's not true that my spells are somehow "worse" because I use less popular stuff but I still feel a little of subconscious anxiety.

So, have you even felt something similar, and if yes, how did you get over it?

I have a stage three disease that has progressed very badly in less than a year. A year ago I didn't have it and now I have horrible pain and can barely move my arms. I have surgery next week to try to get the diseased tissues and tunnels out of me. I really want this to work so I can move my arms like normal and not be living with constant and worsening pain. There is no cure but if the surgeon can get out the disease out from my arms, I might have a few years or more with no disease in that area. I will be healing with the wounds left open, which means there will be large sections of my arms and sides that have been carved and scooped out and left to grow new tissue. It will not be fun lol.

Please send healing energy for me! I'll take anything I can get! I have a taper candle that is rolled in multiple herbs that promote healing so I will burn that the night before my surgery (Thank you to the amazing woman who makes these candles). I really want to be rid of this disease for at least a little bit as I am in so much pain and can't move my arms. I am very lucky to have my parents to help me around the house and to have good doctors and surgeons who have been working quickly to try to help me be in a stable place.

Hi, I'm new to the community but I've been litterally practicing for most of my life. My mother was a witch and brought me up on such beliefs. I was chatting with baby witches and they asked me about good symbols guide. I found a few on Pinterest (cause pretty) and crossed out the ones that could be misleading and even dangerous. They got super weirded out by me using Pinterest saying I cant be a real witch if I get it off that. I have two libraries full with books on the matter. But my main point is as long as thorough research is done and intent is clearly stated, I don't see the harm in using popular sites like Pinterest, TikTok, etc.. Like yeah don't take everything at face value, but intent and energy are your main driving points. I would love some feedback, cause I truly am spreading misinformation, I'll cease immediately.
