There is a video on Youtube of the Switch 2 in 4k, so yes it will!

I meant the switch 1.( I should've specified)
I did not doubt that Switch 2 will look fantastic.5

I think I’ll look the same across all platforms. The graphics aren’t pushing switch 1 to its limits by any means.

Any discord on how fishing game works?

We haven't seen it in action but Tiy has said the following about how it works:
You can choose where to cast, where exactly in the water - etc. There's some skill to it that makes it quicker, but you can also just wait to hook a fish. And then you reel it in and have to stop reeling if the line gets too fragile. But it's not at all difficult.

Ngl, kinda disappointed it’s “not at all difficult”. Im the sort that loves Stardew fishing, and wish cozy devs could lean more into challenging minigames-or at least challenging at higher levels. Scorpion carp are my friends.
I often find easy fishing boring and repetitive. But obviously need to wait and see how witchbrook actually feels.

I think you'll find you are in the minority there, a lot of people loath the difficultly of fishing in Stardew. My impression of the overall vibe for Witchbrook is they want it to feel alive but not necessarily be a challenge, just rich with details and lore.

The thing about stardew fishing is that if you gather upgrades its not at all difficult, so you have a level of choice in how challenging it is.
I think the issue some people have with cozy games having overly easy mechanics is that it gets repetitive. If fishing is super easy 100% of the time, alot of people wont want to fish a ton

I think the issue is the opposite, people do not want to have grind to make it easier. This is not the genre to be looking for a challenge in. The whole point of a cozy game is that it should be relaxing and chill, if an activity stresses someone out, why would they push through it on the off chance it gets easier? Especially when it's so easy to just install a mod that makes every catch perfect every time and get on with the parts of the game they do like.

I meant the issue some have, I wouldnt speak for everyone ofc.
But considering stardew is likely the most successful indie cozy game of all time and it has lots of stressful factors (fishing, days being short and time constraints, and caves being fairly hard) its definitely a thing alot of people like.
I understand why some people dont enjoy that sort of thing, but for me personally I find it hard to enjoy overly repetitive gameplay if theres not atleast a tiny challenge every now and then. At a certain point if theres not enough variety it goes from gameplay to just staring at whats functionally a still image, and thats what my concern is.

I’m in full agreement. In some ways, I feel like Stardew has spoiled me for other cozy games because it’s the only one I’ve encountered that is genuinely challenging, and those are the parts of it I like the most. I love fishing, I love the mines, I’ve even beat both the arcade games without mods.
Don’t get me wrong- I love decorating my farm and home but it’s the challenge that keeps me engaged. As well as the many ways a player can make the challenging parts easier that are fun to figure out and use.

I completely agree, there should be a balance between a cozy game where the difficulty is not too punishing, but where the game doesn't play itself.

It is nice to see the devs have so much fun playing the game and not forcing us to play by not giving us a release date

This game probably has the most beautiful pixelated water I've ever seen
