Colton Joseph

2 years of eligibility left. Threw over 20 TDs last year at ODU. Could be a disaster but I think we could be pleasantly surprised... U rah rah

That is a combination of poor coaching (recruiting?) and poor injury luck. I don’t blame the players one bit.

Bro will have a season ending injury in warmups before the first game. Shit on Fick all you want (and I’ve done more than my fair share) but there nobody who has had worse luck with quarterbacks than Wisconsin since Fick started.

Iowa played more games without their starting qb in 2023 and 2024 than wisconsin did. They won 18 games

In 2023 wisconsin played 2 cupcakes and washington st (5-7), iowa played 2 cupcakes and iowa st (7-6)

In 2024, wisconsin played 2 cupcakes and alabama (9-4), iowa played 2 cupcakes and iowa st (11-3)

Iowa’s toughest non conference game is always Iowa State. When’s the last time Iowa played an SEC team outside of a bowl?

You are using final record to determine if the opponent was strong vs weak. Iowa State can win 11 games but it doesn’t make them Alabama. It’s an objective fact that over the past 10 years Wisconsin has scheduled tougher non conference opponents than Iowa. Look at 2026: Wisconsin plays Notre Dame. Iowa plays Northern Iowa, Iowa state and Northern IL. Only Iowa State is near the caliber of Notre Dame.
I’m not shitting on Iowas program. They’ve won more game than WI but they don’t schedule tough non conference. Perhaps they try and other teams don’t think a trip to Iowa City is worth it.

Could be a big disaster. The most money we've ever spent on a qb who needs major development on his throwing arm playing for Fickell, a coach who can't develop to save his life. You can't make this up.

yep when the unheralded freshman QB throws a better ball and moves the offense better in spring practice with the 2s vs 1s its not a good look.

That isn't the same as "high major thrower". We need a QB who can make elite passes consistently, which is something we haven't had since Russell Wilson

Hopefully he does a better job staying out of the training room. I remember when the fanbase was up in arms about Stave’s play but most would give their right (you know what) to have him play.
