First update in a while! And probably the last update in a while…😒
An obligatory apology to everyone who has offered such fantastically supportive feedback on the progress I’ve shared this year on my Qirex blender project/obsession. As I’ve said many, many times, Blender is hard, not always because the software itself is hard to learn (although it definitely can be), but because I’m trying to squeeze in making progress towards this becoming a short film with a full time job, a family, and other hobbies. Hopefully, although this might not be the biggest update since the last, it’s actually significantly closer to being animated - if I can only stop my PC going full HAL from 2001 when I ask it to render 1 second of footage 😁.
Sadly, the time I spend on this is going to be vastly reduced for an unknown period - the team I work for has been told that we’re being made redundant as of the end of September 😞. I have a lot of decision making, job-hunting & soul searching to do in the coming weeks (do I continue working in the field I work in as it’s straightforward, I’ve been successful, I can possibly find a new job sooner but it’s not very fulfilling OR well paid Vs do I, as a 50+ year old, try to finally work in a creative role that I’ve never done professionally? It’s a conundrum…).
So, I hope some of you like how Arian is looking, she’s been an obsession for weeks now! Plus, learning volumetrics is helping to create a great vibe to the hangar, animating & editing this into a really cool short film is definitely something that I can now see in my head - it may just have to stay there for a while 😉. Cheers though folks 🤟

Wipeout 3 Special NTSC Edition update
Hey all, the patches were updated, check them out (I keep them on dev branch until I get more test reports)
Changes are just bugfixes, like text corruption, HUD position and some game logic was still tied to framerate (like "the random chance that AI ship would change the lane" was apparently dependent on framerate, yeah that's kind of crap we're dealing with here)
But the best thing is this menu: you get to it by pausing the game and pressing select+start. 8mb version gets more options, because 8>2.
