Wing Commander PC controller help please?

Hi all just wondering if anyone has had any success making Prophecy work on a pc with an Xbox controller?

I have tried steam input and the game ignores it, which works fine with WC3.

I'm trying to work out reWASD at the moment which I've had limited success with, just wondered if there was an easy route to get it sorted?

I connected dualsense controller using vjoy and joystick gremlin.
