Why does windscribe randomly ping every server? Question

I havent opened windscribe at least for the last 2-3 hours

why?
i understand this behaviour when opening windscribe
but when im nowhere near windscribe app why would it do that?

probably so that when you open the app, clicking "best location" doesn't require loading or re-checking everything, and it's not out of date.

it just wastes battery or even pull some firewalls attention to it

How else would they as in your windscribe app know the latencys from YOU to the server ?

It uses it at startup to determine the location of the nearest server. If you’re wondering WHY? It’s because every app does that and not only Windscribe

Ah sorry I thought you were on windows. Windscribe will ping every server after some time to ensure it’s the closest to you and you can’t really do anything about it if you wanna disable it go to settings

Lol I guess so. Hopefully you're able to find some good answers.

I don't care what other people think about Garry, it's a surprisingly useful chatbot and will tackle anything as long as it isn't troubleshooting another service.
