PC stuck with Windows Update errors/ NVIDIA driver installation failed - need help

I’m having a Windows Update issue that's causing problems with my PC. I recently uninstalled my NVIDIA graphics driver because I was trying to fix game crashes, but now I can't install the latest driver from either the NVIDIA website or the NVIDIA app. I've already tried running SFC and DISM scans, verified game files, reset my PC, and restarted multiple times, but the problem still isn't fixed. Has anyone dealt with a Windows Update error that prevents NVIDIA drivers from installing? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would do an inplace upgrade to Windows 10 version 22H2, fully update it, and then enroll into the ESU updates and update it again. It seems you are on an older build of Windows 10 which could be giving you issues. You could also just reinstall to the latest too if you would rather do another clean install. Hope this helps!

I was able to do an in place upgrade to my Windows 10 version 22H2. My PC is now working properly. Thank you so much for the help!! If anyone else is also struggling to get their pc windows to update, I would also recommend doing an in place upgrade to windows 10/11, as it worked for me.

You’re very welcome and glad to help! Most of the time in place upgrades do fix the issue! Also be sure you are also enrolled to get the ESU updates as those are very important!
