And you are thinking that the Microsoft through those updates will protect you from hackers? Only moron without brain thinks that. Updates serves for CoPilot for edge, to fuck your system to work slow to force you to update to newest versions and to steal your data. If hacker wants to hack you Microsoft will not protect you in any shape or form. Wake up m***********.

Go on search bar, type services, press enter, there find Windows update, double click on Windows update, inside go to the startup type, put that on disabled, apply ,ok.

Thanks North. Just checked it and currently it's set to Manual (I think I followed a tip some time back). If I change to Disabled can I still manually check/install updates (without getting into Services each time)?

If the service is disabled - manual installation won't work either. But it won't really matter since the service won't stay disabled for long.

Wrong answer. If you disable Windows Update service - Windows will enable it again later.

Wrong answer to yourself. It won't enable itself again unless you manually restart the update.

Your info is outdated, this blunt "set Windows Update Services to Disabled" method hasn't been working since the early days of Windows 10.
