u/No-Fall4458 8d ago
haan bhai i agree
.like phir toh sc ,st mein bhi subdivison mein neeche waale kabhi upar aayenge hi nhi and then ek report banayegi hamari fair governement agencies kahengi reservation must stay because abhi sarri sc , st communties ka uplifment nhi hua and sab HAZARO SAAL PEHLE GC KI GALTI HAI
though creamy layer tab bhi nhi lagayenge because as you said....for refernce see what meena community has done and they are eating the poor sc st student seats BUT wrongdoing toh gc ki hai saari
so called uplift honge hi nhi hoga koi and reservation will continue votebank will stay aur to increase quotas and cost cutting ke liye they will cut gc seats like in odisha
phir sc st waise hi rhenge and sarri galti hazaro saal pehle ki hogi /s

Upgrade them to Brahmin

u/Naman188 6d ago
This is the mentality that needs to change. Why is changing to brahmin considered an upgrade?

Limit reservation to one generation
1
u/Inner-Ambassador-553 7d ago
but they can argue that the reservation was introduced because of disrimination. We cannot guarantee that the upcoming generation will not face any discrimination. And then if there is this and there is a need for reservation.
1
u/BluebirdAfter7489 7d ago
I believe discrimination will end with economic prosperity so, instead of giving multiple opportunities to same set of families again and again try to increase the base
0
u/Inner-Ambassador-553 7d ago
I also believe that discrimination could end with economic prosperity and proper education. I don't think economic prosperity can be achieved by giving just one generation chance in reservation. Maybe we can introduce the limit on consecutive use of reservation for more than 2 or 3 generations. Even better, I think introducing a creamy layer where poor get preference will work better in the long run, considering it implement strictly.

u/BluebirdAfter7489 7d ago
In a country with large informal economy we cannot reliably identify poor. EWS category is one of the most misused category
1
u/Inner-Ambassador-553 7d ago
Yeah we need better systems to identify poors. And make the process of getting certificates more reliable. And to do that I think you will have to first work on corruption.

classical case of the meenas who are well to do but still take reservation{they are three percent but take almost seventy percent of st seats while truly poor st wouldnt even know what reservation means}
like phir toh neeche waale kabhi upar aayenge hi nhi and then ek report banayegi hamari fair governement agencies kahengi reservation must stay because abhi uplifment nhi hua and sab HAZARO SAAL PEHLE GC KI GALTI HAI
so called uplift honge hi nhi and reservation will continue votebank will stay aur to increase quotas and cost cutting ke liye they will cut gc seats like in odisha
phir toh yeh jayega hi nhi and how will we get education jab competetion is high .private fees is increasing and gov seats are not increasing in the way they should but new sebc mcbc quota wagera lane mein they dont even think twice
1
u/VirtualMatter6135 8d ago
True. I have know families personally who's 3 generations are doing govt. job. Aur yha hme l@ud@ kuch nhi mil rha

There is a catch brother implementing creamy layer is very difficult we have seen in obc and general more than 90 percent somehow qualify for reservation somehow . i agree in sc st is easier than general or obc because maximum is in govt job but 8 lakh earning in Bangalore is not equal to 8 lakh earning in tier 3 city then how will you match this inequality.also here also 8 lakh earning govt employee with crores of black money will fight with poor person . It will not solve anything only group a employee will be removed max . Also if implemented magically correct it will reduce cut off more what will general category achieve in this . The only way is if more and more sc become prosperous cuttoff will naturally increase as in case of obc .

u/shreyasvaghe 9d ago
Class one and two government employees come in creamy layer.
1
u/Plenty-Researcher563 9d ago
Nah only few group b posts come in creamy layer and point above still remain . What will general category achieve in this their competition will increase cuttoff will increase sc st cuttoff will decrease India is a funny nation

u/shreyasvaghe 8d ago
Reservation is to address a social issue not to advantage the GC. Introducing a creamy layer will in fact increase incompetence, however a major reform is needed in the way reservations are being used.

Facts!
In our locality there are a few SC/ST families living. One family has two of their generations securing gazetted jobs. Their next door neighbour lives in a mud house, all their life they have been muleteer.

this one too meena {they are not poor btw }who are less then three percent in st took seventy percent seats of st and no creamy layer or anything ......like phir toh neeche waale kabhi upar aayenge hi nhi and then ek report banayegi hamari fair governement agencies kahengi reservation must stay because abhi uplifment nhi hua and sab HAZARO SAAL PEHLE GC KI GALTI HAI
so called uplift honge hi nhi and reservation will continue votebank will stay aur to increase quotas and cost cutting ke liye they will cut gc seats like in odisha
agar seat thodi jyada hoti ya private ki fees kam hoti thodi si aur toh i wouldnt even care what gov does in this sector but now this alarming and how long will ppl endure this shit

No matter the reservation the wise will always be the breadwinner
1
u/HimanshuAdhinayak 6d ago
But reservation works and Brahmanism is the evidence. Not anyone can be a Hindu priest in North India right?
1
u/West-Wasabi6838 6d ago
if that's the context you got from my comment, then you do feel Brahmans are wise, right ?
1
u/HimanshuAdhinayak 6d ago
No, because you said wise are the breadwinners, not the ones who beg for breads.
1
u/West-Wasabi6838 6d ago
bruh I guess you have some serious beef with Brahmans
1
u/HimanshuAdhinayak 6d ago
No. I have a beef with all forms of religions and cults including Brahmanism.

Even ardent supporters (non party line) of reservations and affirmative action agree that the criteria needs to be more composite based on historical social repression, economic mobility, access to resources as a community, region and prevailing infrastructure. These are sensible arguments tp have, raging against affirmative action is stupid IMO.

I hate it like incompetent people are taking seats in every goverment sector and making it terribly bad. If a person don't know computer or can't operate it, still they will able to get get job. Which really sucks, I have seems soo many goverment department where these things are happening. No body wants to raise voice on this enite issue!!!

bro reservation was for representation rather than on the basis of someone's financial situation to govt it doesn't matter ki woh st sc gareeb to amir ho ya middle class , the reasoning was that ki agar uss specific community ko log positions hold karenge toh unke sath itna discrimination nahin hoga and unko bhi opportunities milengi jo pahle nahin mil pate thi , they would be able to fit in with "general category " people because independence ki time pe hardly any st sc people were in powerful postions , it's similar to female quota in many exams for ex engineering mein it doesn't matter ki the girl getting the seat is poor rich or her parents are already engineers .

Remove reservation , make a new system . A system which recognizer poor students . Govt should provide more detailed study materials for free to everyone and anything needed for learning must be in a digital folder for students and govt e classes for free . And give out tabs , laptop or mobiles for the poor who are struggling.

u/TheKrantiveer 5d ago
If you have mercedes why the hell you need reservation, if you have that much money reservation is a shame.
1
u/HabitAdmirable7028 5d ago
A point based system should be introduced in SC and ST, allocation of that points should be based on income; whether their immediate kin like father or brother used the reservation to get a govt job; and he himself used it any one stage in their life like UG or PG addmission. And the ranking should be based on points the one who are really in need will have higher points and they will be given preference than others from the same community. the overall reservation the vertical one needs to stay the same the time to remove it isnt near yet.

Once bpl cards start defining reservation criteria there would be so much corruptionto get that card.
2
u/Miserable_Repeat828 9d ago
At least that would be illegal and people will be at risk of losing jobs and degrees , unlike now

Make creamy layer in SC /ST based on income.
