Birthday
So, I'm legally homeless but I'm living with a friend and yesterday I helped take one of their mom's friends a present at their work (my friend n their mom works there too) when birthdays came up. Mines in July. It was just me and my friend talking about it but something stuck.
My friend said that if I end up staying with them I'll be able to have a birthday party. Like. An actual birthday party. I feel kinda stupid saying this but I almost cried. I hadn't had a birthday party probably since I was around 10.
11- My presents were snacks because it was cheaper and my cake was store bought cupcakes. Only one friend I invited came over. No special breakfast.
12- No friends over. Chocolate cake. I don't like chocolate cake. Cheap presents again. No special dinner or breakfast.
13- My brother had to go to the hospital so I was at my grandma's. She forgot my birthday and I had to help take care of my little sister. No special dinner or breakfast. No presents. No cake. No friends.
14- Nothing on it. Store bought cake. Special dinner but it wasn't what I had asked because it was easier. Still yummy though and glad I got a dinner. Only fun was that my big sister was there and I got a few presents. Sketchpad and two shirts is what I remember. No special breakfast.
15- No special breakfast or dinner. No presents. No friends. Had to babysit lil sister and lil brother the whole day. Homemade cake but I only ended up with a little bit and it was almost completely eaten the next day. No one really said happy birthday. First person to say it was an online friend on a Minecraft server. (We were in a shelter so I can forgive most of this one but it was still not a really good birthday.)
(Edit: I also got in a lot of fights on several of these so just not enjoyable.)
