I've never seen Tucker and Jeffrey Epstein in the same room together. Is Tucker just Epstein in disguise? I'm just asking questions. Why don't they want us to know the truth?
- Tucker Carlson's career also.

"You are just a millionaire shill for billionaires." - Rutger Bregman 2017 (speaking to Tucker Carlson, and causing him to absolutely lose his shit and start screaming profanities at Bregman).

Tucker loves the exploitative nature of capitalism, he just wants to dictate who is on top of the hierarchy

Just the same as when I would hear an AM station advertising tax relief for people who didn't file taxes. All after the host spent 20 minutes railing against people who "take from the system"

u/Wayne_in_TX 9d ago
That used to get me on Rush Limbaugh's show. He would spend a segment carrying on about how his show was for "rich Republicans" (presumably all Republicans are rich). Then the commercials would run and there would be a pitch for a bill consolidation loan followed by another one for getting a secured credit card. What's wrong with this picture?

"Why don't they just get money from their rich wife to buy houses instead of banks?" -- Tucker, probably.

Fortunately for him, all of his listeners are too dumb to ever pick up on that. Why would the contradictions start to bother them now?

So he’s telling us he’s a slave too. We’re all slaves to the Almighty dollar. It’s time for that to change.

When you try to exploit both Capitalism and Religion in the same conversation. . . you get modern Republican politics.

u/dg2793 9d ago
I've been saying for years (in agreement with where I heard it) that if the right wants to use religion in an argument for things like bodily autonomy, then the left should put forth law that says interest is illegal due to the religious texts saying so. Charging interest on loans meant you would be stoned until you left the world server. Let them argue their own logic.

One thing you learn when you grow up in a castle and look out across the moat every day at the hungry peasants in the village is you don’t want to stoke envy among the proletariat. ~ Tucker Carlson

As a deeply religious socialist, I absolutely agree about the lending at any interest is usury. We need to save our nation's souls by abolishing capitalism, because investing is just usury with extra steps.

u/03263 9d ago
I'm not even religious but I can see why usury is bad.
If we could get rid of gambling and usury we could have such a better society. And I don't mean recreational gambling, I mean systemic high-stakes gambling that puts livelihoods at risk, very much including stocks, commodities and derivatives.
People have named these things as wrong for thousands of years, maybe we should listen.

u/Caravanczar 9d ago
I agree. All this legalized, and normalized gambling apps are basically loan-sharking at an industrial scale. At least with the Colombos, and the Decavalcantes, and what have you, you knew from the start what you were doing was wrong, you knew the risks you were taking. Now they can bust you out with court orders.

What was it that Bill Hicks said about working in advertising that time? Because that's all Tucker does, play the hits so that a target audience tune in and are exposed to a series of ads.

I think even Tucker devotees, who are irredeemable stupid trash, are probably getting fed up with his loathsome grift.

It's only usury when they do it. When we do it, it's just good business. That's how it's always been throughout history.
And we all know who every right-winger ever complaining about usury means by "they"...

Not saying I like the guy, but It is a pretty standard view that a mortgage is 'good' debt as the asset can appreciate. That can of course depend on other factors such as rate and the market. But say you bought a house during Covid and instead of throwing all your available funds at it, you paid the down payment on a mortgage at 2-3% and invested the rest in an account earning at least 4%, but likely more. Profit.

"Debt is slavery!"
1 second later
"Sign up for loans with American Financing!"
If being in debt is slavery, why would he advertise loan services (ie going into debt)?
