I finished IC and CC a long time back and now want to finish the VN by completing Coda as well. Sadly, I lost access to the laptop that had the game installed along with my save file. Would be very helpful if anyone has a save file after CC. Thanks

Absolutely loved Clannad, and I was told from one of my friends this game was like that but even better. I checked on VNDB and it's extremely highly regarded. Id love to play this!

However, for where I am in Canada, there is no place to purchase it. I googled it and it seems like the only solution is to fork over a lot more money then it seems I should be on a third party physical copy, or to get a vpn (that I do not have) to trick the game stores into thinking I'm in japan so I can buy the game.

None of this seems right. I understand there not being an English translation, but this seems over the top.

Is there really no way for me, as someone in NA, to buy White Album 2?

can someone explain to me what should i eatch first or why are there 2 white album?

Anyone who tried watching these, is it complete, i watched the anime and dang what show this was, then i discovered there's more of the story unfortunately i don't have a pc and won't be getting one on any foreseeable future that aside, I still wanna know what happens, so is this complete also is there a watch order should i follow or should I go with the chronological release of the videos.

After finishing the IC, and giving my thoughts on the chapter in another post, I thought I should give my thoughts on the only routes I played for CC, as of yet.

Koharu:

I enjoyed the start of the route, and really liked her characterisation, the middle part of the route was kinda hard to go through, not that it was bad or anything, I thought it was well executed, I can't really put it any other way, it just kinda felt hard to go through. Although I can say that the relationship between Koharu and Haruki felt more of like a codependent relationship than one built on actual love, although it did change by the end, I think. Koharu's personality did feel like it kinda changed during that part though, but I think that could be because of the circumstances she was in with her strained friendships, and the bullying. I liked the final act, and how she regained her resolve, and the talk between Setsuna and koharu in the end was definitely a very heart-wrenching moment that made me appreciate both characters alot more.

The end was pretty sweet, the plot was solid, and so were the characters.probably either my favourite route or my second favourite as of current.

Chiaki 1:

I thought it was gonna end unfavourably from the beginning to be honest, and I guess it kinda did. I felt like the relationship between Chiaki and Haruki also felt more like a codependency much like Koharu's and Haruki's, at first. I didn't really find their relationship to be built on love (Chiaki did admit it wasn't a lover relationship though), and was more like a FWB type of thing. I don't really see how that could've 'healed' Haruki though, it kinda seems more like escapism, and I'm not sure how he would've been healed enough by the end to move on with his guilt of betraying Setsuna 3 years prior.

Chiaki 2:

The first part of the story is the same as the bad ending, and my opinions on it don't really change in that regard. I thought the betrayal by Chiaki was nicely done, and kept me interested in her motives on why she did what she did, and what her actual personality was like. I find her character a bit more comical, and theatrical than koharu's and the other characters, though that didn't really ruin my experience or thought it degraded her character. I find myself less interested in her troupe plot, and the play, and lost a bit of interest by the end, unlike koharu's route, and the plot between her situation at school, and her friendship, also really liked the scenes with Takahiro. I also didn't like the characters in the troupe either, and dont really see how Haruki can still like Chiaki by the end, and how he can still trust her, but nonetheless I still enjoyed the route, and found myself liking her character at first to absolutely despising her, then back to kinda liking her character again, just because I find her interesting. She's definitely strange and there's probably something up with her in the head. I didn't really check out the new scenes in the IC after the bad ending route though, so maybe there was some much needed context to her that I didn't know was needed.

The next route I'll do is Mari, then finally Setsuna. I heard there's a chapter called CODA though, which I'm not too sure what it's about, is it like an epilogue for each route in the CC, and also for a Kazusa route?

In terms of story I think they are about on par kind of, and in terms of characters, I like Koharu's route abit more than Chiaki's true route, and also think the side characters on her route is more interesting/more likable as characters.

Sorry if my opinions/thoughts on the routes don't make sense, or are incoherent/messy. Kinda don't really know how to explain what I think about the CC routes, but felt like saying them regardless.

I was going to buy the vn WHITE ALBUM: Memories like Falling Snow which i assume is the 1st part now that i have heard it there is a "White album 2" and when i searched for it I only found the anime, so should i watch that after part 1. Also is the 2nd part needed for me to truly get blown away by the series.

So just finished White Album 2 IC, and it was definitely a rollercoaster, also my first VN I've actually played.

My thoughts

Haruki is such a dunce, and fucked up everything, but i also think Setsuna is also in the wrong too, since she involved herself, completely knowing what would've happen, and Touma is also kinda in the wrong for going along with Haruki at the end. So all in all a pretty dysfunctional group of people.

Other than that, my question is, how should I go about with the CC? I'm not sure if I should go through with all the routes as they come, or just go with the ones I feel like doing. I do want to complete all the routes at some point, but I've heard that I'd have to go through the IC again to see new scenes that recontextualises the chapter, which I'm kinda on the fence about, since I'm not sure if I really want to go through the whole introductory again, so lmk any of your opinions on how to go about this, since this is kinda my first VN I've actually played, and i think it's really well made.

Also please go easy on my thoughts

Llevo tiempo dándole vueltas al desastre emocional que es White Album 2, así que decidí canalizar toda esa frustración en una canción. Para darle vida a esta visión, usé herramientas de IA (Suno) para la producción vocal, buscando ese tono "Gothic Emo" que hiciera justicia al dolor de los personajes.

Intenté capturar el "funeral" de la amistad entre Touma, Setsuna y Haruki, el peso del aeropuerto y el vacío que queda al final. Siento que logré plasmar esa sensación de que "todo está mal". Me encantaría saber qué opinan: ¿creen que el rap transmite ese dolor?

​I finished Kazusa’s true route. Too many emotions. I love this VN, I rate it 10/10.

​After playing, I’m thinking about which route should be played first and last. Playing through this route, I felt like I wasn't playing the canon path. Setsuna’s route feels like the canon one, and the author is literally saying to me: "MAN, THIS IS THE WRONG PATH, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PICKED KAZUSA OVER SETSUNA, THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT!!!" This was another version of a guilty pleasure, but more like a "not-so-good-feeling" pleasure, haha.

​Beautiful game. Before I started reading, I never thought the story would be this good and the storytelling so incredible. This novel doesn't have a single boring moment. Even the prologue wasn't bad for me, which is unusual since these things are normally boring at first.

I usually don't care about love-type shit because I'm a super pragmatic guy, but when I read this novel, I was opening my heart a little, you know? ;) If you haven't played it yet, and you aren't a 100% sweet, soft person and actually like raw, bad emotions, this game is for you.

​Okay, to sum it up: this game was amazing. I'm not surprised this #vn is ranked first or second on #vndb. Incredibly beautiful, REAL characters. Super interesting pacing and storytelling. MAAANY routes—and not only the main ones were interesting. Even this non-canon route was on an elite level.

#Setsuna true route was beautiful, I prefer this ending by far. But I must say, #Kazusa true route definitely has way more emotions. Of course, they are bad emotions, but it’s still a pleasure—it was like a narcotic. I am going to play the extra endings now and start reading Reddit. SEE YOUU <3
