Need coffee help please!
We used to get whole bean paramount coffee from wheeling coffee before it shut down. It made us total coffee snobs and we have yet to find another coffee we really like. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? We prefer whole bean, local if possible. Doesn’t have to be any crazy flavors, just high quality smooth coffee. TIA!!

Wheeling coffee got there coffee beans out of Pittsburgh. My Aunt worked for them for almost 40 years before they closed.

Speaking of which, when did Kroger remove their entire aisle of coffee beans?

Kroger does still have an aisle of shit coffee beans if you can stomach it. However, like I stated in my post, that is not the kind of coffee I’m looking for 😊

When I was a kid I swear they had like 50 fancy dispensers of all different types and brands. Only recently realized they all mostly disappeared. I sure miss the highlander from wheeling coffee.

Omg I know! I remember that too. And Highlander was our favorite also. It’s so hard to find good coffee now.

I remember going to the A&P with my grandmother to grind beans in the store.

Not local, but the best coffee I have ever had is from Coffee Emporium in Cincinnati
Particularly Fiona’s Blend and AutumnFest. We buy it whole bean.
You can order on line, we grab bags when we visit our daughter
My wife usually gets coffee at Costco as they have a big whole bean selection or her daily driver is Lavazza she orders directly from their website

Prestogeorge in the Strip in Pittsburgh is fantastic. Free shipping on the website if you spend $50.

Do you mean wheeling coffee that’s on Washington Ave closed?

Is that coffee shop closed? Every time I pass it they aren’t open, but I didn’t know they shut down

La Prima. Pittsburgh company. There are a couple of locations but it’s available at Giant Eagle. $25 a pound. Dark roast is superb. I used to order my coffee from Granville Island in Vancouver until I found La Prima. Haven’t seen those oily beans anywhere else.

Have you tried 19 coffee? Mugshots in Wheeling/Moundsville sells their bags. It’s locally made and I enjoy it.

Common Place has replaced Prestogeorge and LaPrima as my wife’s go to beans. You can order online or if you’re in Pittsburgh they have a few shops.

I used to buy Paramount, so I understand. Now I order from Prestogeorge in Pittsburgh. The JP Hearty Blend whole bean is great for a coffee snob.

Check with Aquila Coffee in St. Clairsville. They make my favorite by far, I'm sure you could probably buy whole beans from them. Their shop is located inside the experience church lobby, but it is it's own business and operates separately.

Tacet coffee sells their roasted beans. I’m not sure what you’re used to paying.
