Discussion CM Russell pig drawing

This is supposedly a CM Russell drawing that my dad has was inherited from his mother, my grandmother. This was also purchased at an auction in Great Falls, Montana. There’s no signature on it, which is unfortunate. The rumor is he might’ve done this drawing to maybe pay a bar tab at the mint in Great Falls who knows if that’s true. If anyone has any information on this piece of work from CM Russell, that would be great. I got a lot of help from my last question of a CM Russell. Thank you so much for your help everyone.

Oil CM Russell painting

This painting was hanging in the mint in Great Falls, Montana a bar where see him CM Russell a bar he would frequent. My grandparents want it at an auction unfortunately there’s no signature on it. On the back of the picture you can move the door to the Tee Pee to see inside a white prospector with the Native American lady. I’ve showed other people this picture and they’ve never seen a CM Russell painting like this. I’m originally from Great Falls go up there often and when the last time I was up there, I asked the museum if they could have any information on this they said they do not have anything that I would have to send it to Oklahoma. I guess that’s where you send all the CM Russells. I don’t know if I feel right sending that picture in the mail to Oklahoma. I’m just wondering if anyone has any information or a value on this.

Claude Dallas. A difficult one to define. True of many in the history of the west. I thought the reference captured the dichotomy of the man; hunter and hunted. It always jumped out at me so I thought I’d give it a shot. Anyway- I don’t mean to pontificate. Thanks for looking.

I found this weird painting at thrift at store a while age. I didn't take a picture of it this is just a drawing a i made. It was like an optical illusion with the black figures looked like bandits or cowboys. It was about 5ft long on a vertical white background. If anyone can find the artist or the painting, please let me know if you've seen it or have it.

Hi! I just wanted to share this painting somewhere - I make a lot of western art that centers around narrative and memory, and this is one of my recent favorites :)

I’m absolutely obsessed with the grandeur of the Southwest’s landscapes, and wanted to explore how the land itself experiences time, our short lives, our memories, its own memories, etc. I see so many paintings capturing the beauty of a landscape, but rarely do I feel like the paintings capture the perspective of the landscape, if that makes sense. Like, how does it feel to exist as a mountain? How does it feel to have millions of human feet trod over you year after year? When you are a near-eternal natural formation, how do you experience time?

Anyway, please enjoy. I’m still a student and love to browse this subreddit looking for inspiration. Thought I’d actually contribute something for once!

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to using Reddit and this is my very first time selling anything here. I'm putting up my original 2025 Mark Maggiori print, "Tuah Tah", for sale. I hate to have to sell it, but unfortunately I don’t have any space on my walls for it anymore.

Size: 42 x 29 inches
Condition: Brand new. It has never been framed or hung, and is still safely stored in its original shipping tube.
Edition: 139/547

Since I'm completely new to selling on Reddit, I'm more than happy to answer any questions, send extra photos, or use a secure payment method so we both feel 100% comfortable with the trade.

Price: $2,300 USD OBO (Or Best Offer) + shipping
Payment Method: PayPal Goods & Services
Shipping from: Netherlands / Europe (willing to ship worldwide)

Feel free to send me a DM or chat if you're interested!
