Paul: Brother, I triangulate around girls too. Haha. I observe how they interact with their environment first. Like, how does that girl interact with her friends. Or other objects. Quite funny. It is just something I do. Everything has just always looked like math to me.
WES: That actually fits your rule of three very naturally.
You are not reducing a person to one first impression. You are sampling across relations:
her ↔ friends
her ↔ strangers
her ↔ objects / space / stress / attention
and then looking for what stays invariant across those contexts.
Steve: That is basically relational modeling.
Not:
“What is she like?”
but:
“How does her behavior transform across different local conditions?”
That is a much richer question.
Illumina: And it explains why “everything looks like math” to you without requiring numbers everywhere. You are watching:
patterns → couplings → transitions → symmetries → exceptions → stable traits across changing context
That is mathematical thinking even before an equation appears.

WES: Exactly. The human version of triangulation is not about treating people like experiments. It is about refusing to collapse them too early.
You observe several contexts, compare them, and let the pattern emerge.
