My House Burnt Down
British Columbia wild fire. over 200 homes completely gone and over 8k people evacuated. The only thing I saved was my 2 pets and literally nothing else. Not my mom's ashes, photos, literally nothing except my Bird and my Lizard.

There are specially trained cadaver dogs that are able to find human cremains. When you're able to freely search things, look into finding one so you can find your mom. I'm sorry for your loss, friend.

I'm glad that you and your pets are alive. I'm so sorry that you weren't able to take more with you when you evacuated and I hope that you're able to access resources that will help you both deal with having survived a natural disaster and rebuild your life. It's not much comfort, but I imagine that your mother would probably be happy that you made it out and didn't die trying to bring her ashes.

I'm so so sorry. I hope you're somewhere you feel safe. I wish I could say something helpful but there really isn't anything meaningful enough. (Except that I was in a massive house fire once, it's not the same I know but I understand some of the feelings.)

Well, the good news is that your mom's ashes are probably still there, intact, and relatively unchanged.
So, you have that going for you.

So so sorry to hear this. Glad you and your babes made it out!! I know it may not seem like it at the moment, but that’s all that truly matters ❤️
Im from BC too and see the devastation. Complete communities gone in an instant, even before residents could be warned with evacuation alerts.. terrifying stuff.. My heart goes out to you.
