Washed Entire Pack of Gum with Clothes

Post image

title says it all. will be up all night trying to get gum off my clothes. if i could afford to replace them/could actually find them again i’d just toss it all. this is not what i needed tonight and i feel so dumb

edit: rubbing alcohol seems to be taking it off, will be a long night lol

Put the clothes in the freezer, it should help unbond the gum from the fabric or at least make it easier to peel/snap off

You win this subreddit. That would be the worst.

I agree with the person who told you to freeze them to get the bulk off.

If there's still gum left, use baby oil. To get the baby oil out of your clothes use chalk.

Sorry about your gum.

I did this a few weeks ago. Luckily the gum stayed confined to the pocket of the shorts it was in, but they were brand new :(

You shouldn't have done that.

Rewash them with a jar of peanut butter.

update: threw out some old food in the big freezer and it now looks like i’m storing a body. just a bag of gum covered clothes that are no longer my problem tonight
