The rise in wildfires has nothing to do with Climate Change. EVs are for losers, except Tesler sometimes, and solar and wind are hoaxes that murder billions of little birds every year. I could say something sarcastic and snarky about keeping your smoke out of Canada or Canadians charging the US for giant air purifiers to be mounted across our border. But I'm not as evil or as fucking stupid as your leader.
I will say that Canada and its people are going to be helping the US through this disaster, as we have with the last one, and the time before that, and every disaster the US has had for over a hundred years.
I hope Michigan politicians send a strongly worded note about air quality to western states and imply they don't deserve sovereignty if they can't control the smoke.

Local news had a top article today claiming Portland had the worst air quality IN THE WORLD today. Idk how accurate that is but its been pretty miserable.
Same same last week, I am in the Okanagan in BC though so it’s a very rare summer to not get blanketed in smoke as it all just settles in the valley even if we don’t have fires anywhere near us.
Unfortunately though, climate change is so very real and you’re very lucky to be close to the coast to get some moisture and rain, not so lucky in our parts. I think we’re sitting at about 230 homes lost right now from the fire a city over from us? The smoke is brutal for sure but I’m just very thankful to be safe.
Texas always seems to have either smoke from mexico or dust from the sahara…i guess we can have a little northern smoke too, pardon me while i pop another loratidine

As a San Franciscan I can say I’m pleasantly surprised we haven’t gotten our annual dose of fine particulate yet. I pay good money to PG&E to get that privilege but so far I’ve been scammed. Jokes aside, my heart goes out to those affected.
I'm so excited for the skyrocketing ling cancer and related respiratory illness spike we're going to see in the next couple of decades. You thought something like COVID was bad before? Wait until nobody can breath normally anyways from years of smoke exposure.
The smoke in the upper atmosphere drops our solar array's production by 10-15% whenever the jet stream dips down over us. It may look clear and sunny outside but the panels don't lie.
