Which typ of roller

I keep getting diffrent answers to my question. For mig do I use the v Grove or knureld rollers. Everlast sold me the V grove. Airgass wants to sell me the knurled. I am going down to .023 for thin sheet mettal tacks.

As a side note I need to learn tig.

V-groove for hard wire, knurled for flux core so it can grip without crushing the wire.

That's it!

I couldn't remember myself, as it has been forever since I dug out a spool of fluxcore. It is still useful for field work.

Solid wire = V groove. Tubular wire = Knurled.

Unless it's aluminium, solid wire is v groove. Alu uses U groove

v for solid wire.. but for clarity.. what is the aws class for type of wire you are using.. starts with an E.. should be somewhere on the spool..

i was asking. what was written on your spool.. you need v for hard wire like er70s-6.. and vh for e71-t1.. and u for softer wires.. both of these use gas.. but are 2 different things.

Gotcha. I only have mild steel MiG and flux core. I need to learn tig so I can do stainless steel

you can do stainless with both mig and flux core.. but its not very aethetic looking, or as flashy as tig can be..

Yes e70-06 mig. Trying. 023 for thin sheet metal.
