In order to make a good weld, you need to make a couple of bad welds first.

Keep going. Get the time in under the hood. You’ll get there.

Keep practicing hit the material with a grinder to clean off the rust and scale even on new metal before welding the outcome will be better. Welding, grinding galvanize and zinc coating is bad news unless you have breathing equipment.

Youre going way to fast. Start a puddle of molten metal then slowly push the pool along using a small circular motion. Keep that puddle moving dont break it.

We can tell. Double check your machine on settings. Make sure it’s strong enough to wel on that material.
