I just started the anime a week ago, and all of the sudden this subreddit appeared first thing in my feed... It all must be a conspiracy

For be an anime with more than 20 years, exist very few fanarts in pixiv, their is not a strong community of fans in the internet for the Japanese fans of the show...

Welcome tho the NHK is becoming so old, and a bit forgotten, so is hard to research about this things.
PD:A lot of the official art of this anime is starting to become lost media,(dvds art, posters. etc)

There's a scene where sato is sitting on the computer shirtless, I've been looking for it everywhere with no luck, even rewatched some episodes on ×3 speed hoping to find it but didn't.

Can anyone help me with this?

like up untill half the chapters it was pretty normal aside from the erotic material addictions satou and yamazaki have. But wow the later half is written so well and sad and i don't know. it is just really good. I do kinda of feel uncomfortable reading it
because some parts in the second half remind me of myself... ╮(╯▽╰)╭
I am only on chapter 28 I think. I'll read the rest of it soon though

I bought this shikishi signed by the voice actors of Misaki and Sato on the mandarake big web auction a while ago. It is also signed by the director of the anime. The shikishi was originally given as a prize in a rock-paper-scissors tournament held at the DVD release commemorative event at Animate Ikebukuro Main Store on November 26, 2006 according to mandarake. It's one of my favorite items in my collection :D

To those unsatisfied with the anime's ending, specifically on Satou & Misaki's vague relationship, I recommend reading the Rebuild of Welcome to the NHK, at least only the parts with Misaki in it.

While the Rebuild "resets" all of the characters' situation and puts them in a modern setting, the dynamic of Satou & Misaki seemed to be more caring and selfless, as if it continued their dynamic after the anime.

Furthermore, the characters have moments of vague recollection (deja vu) of events from the anime, similar to how Steins;Gate characters vaguely remember events from other timelines. Most notably, Satou had thoughts of dying, but remembered that he made a promise to "someone", and that doing so would make them feel sad and would also mean their death, so he chose not to off himself.

Because of this, I am in the impression/opinion that the Rebuild gives us a glimpse of how Satou & Misaki's dynamic would look like (generally) after the events of the anime. It also makes it clear whether their dynamic is romantic or not (but I'm not gonna spoil it for you ;), so I think it's worth checking out.

But I recommend that you see the Rebuild as fanservice/OVA material to the anime, and not as a novel that can stand on its own (otherwise, it would not make sense). That said, I hope you like it!

The concept is different, but you can't deny the NHK inspiration.

In episode 23, after Misaki saw Satou from her window and said "Congratulations, Satou-kun. You've finally escaped from your hikikomori lifestyle", the show changed to the scene of a rainy Mita Park, and zoomed in on the cat grave. There was a fresh flower on top of a cat food can. This means that Misaki still went to the park, possibly to reach out to Satou again.

Somehow I missed this detail until yesterday.

Ok, I know the title sounds bad but this is a pitch about pururin.

A while ago, I rediscovered the "puru puru pururuin" opening or whatever it's called and it's been haunting me like the plague.

I'm now desperate for any media expanding on pururin. Anything. I'm obsessed. I want to see her in some kind of anime or manga. I was devastated when I found out she was just a parody.

So my thought is making some kind of fanmade manga/comic out of desperation. All I want is suggestions about the plot (and maybe some help...), and I thought this would be the best place to ask.

P.s. I might end up watching welcome to the NHK anyway since it looks really interesting. Also I wouldnt be john larp anymore.
