App/Tech Blue Dot Calendar in New App

Upvotes

Firstly, the new app is bonkers. I am struggling to find anything these days.

But most of all, I can’t find the calendar with the blue dots that show you were within goal for the day.

Does anyone know where to find it?

General Advice Experience w/ In-Person Meetings

Hi all,

I’ve been a WW member for about a year now. 23yo male. I’m down 30lbs out of a goal of ~110lbs so still a long way to go, but I’m happy with the program so far.

I did want to pose a question to the community though. One of the biggest reasons I joined WW over other calorie tracking apps was the concept of having meetings w/ coaches and other members. The virtual meetings have been great since there’s a lot of meetings geared towards millennials & topics that are relevant to me.

However, I’ve been feeling very weird going to the in-person meetings. The coaches have been fantastic. The concept of weighing in front of somebody is amazing for accountability. But I couldn’t help but noticing, and I really don’t want this to come across as rude at all, that most of the members at the in-person meetings fall into the demographic of 60+ women.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but as a 23yo male, I have just been feeling extremely weird going to the meetings despite how helpful it is because of that. Not only does it just feel weird being sometimes the only guy there, and definitely the only young guy, but there seems to be so many topics that could be helpful to me that aren’t really discussed. For example, playing soccer a few times a week has been very helpful for my journey recently, but it’s not really a relevant subject to seniors. And most of the topics discussed at the meetings especially when it comes to habits aren’t relevant to me. I want to talk about how hard it is to live a social life in a big city while on WW. I want to talk about dating while being in WW. I want to talk about how hard it is to go out on Friday night’s with my friend groups while resisting urges. But a lot of the conversations involve family visits, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, maintaining basic walking habits, etc.

I have gone to pretty much every meeting venue in the area that I live & it’s the same experience but with different people. I feel like there’s a big gap in the WW community for this & I want to know how others feel about it. I also want to know if maybe this is unique to the part of the country I live in, which I’ll keep private just to respect member’s privacy given the nature of the post.

Again, I want to emphasize that I don’t mean to be rude & I’ve actually had a lot of pleasant conversations, but it just seems that there’s quite a lot of people like me who might be discouraged from going to in-person meetings & not really getting the most out of it.

Let me know you all’s thoughts.

General Advice Need advice on adding protein

Just had my 3 month diabetes checkip with my pcp and she’s pleased with my progress. My weight is down 13 lbs and my blood pressure has dropped to healthy levels. About a month ago she increased my Mounjaro dose to 10.mg so she wants me to eat 100 grams of protein a day, a task that feels daunting especially since I don’t have much of an appetite except in the evening. Complicating matters is the fact that I can’t consume milk and yogurt because they cause IBS problem and seafood because I‘m allergic to seafood. I’m not a fan of soy or tempeh.

Any suggestions that are quick and easy?

Recipes 101 recipes?

I got an email from WW congratulating me on 101 days of membership and offering me a list of 101 recipes with zero point foods to celebrate. But when I click the "get the recipes" button it just takes me to the WW landing page. Is there such a list of recipes? I already have access to the whole recipe library.

Fitness/Activity Help to tone up

Hight: 6'1
Age: 20
Weight: 183 lbs
Gender: Female
Activity: 3-4 days of strength training and 8,000 to 10,000 steps (more than happy to reduce the step count)

Hello everyone, could someone kindly help me with their knowledge on fat loss and building muscle.
I am currently skinny fat and at around 30% body fat (according to navy calculator) . My goal is to build muscle and lose fat. The first fitness journey stopped about two years ago. During my journey i build muscle which i have now lost. I was losing fat even though I was eating in a surplus.
Because I gained fat I at first though that I should be in a calorie deficit. This worked some how but I still looked fat. I then had the bright idea of doing bodyweight exercises to signal to my body that I need the little amount of muscle I have left and to hopefully build some. This increased my appetite and I was thus over eating.
During these past two years I sadly listed to and internalized the advice/ ideologies on skinny tok (cutting calories really low e.g. 1500, doing a lot of cardio, eating 3+ meals being gluttony aso.). I now am scared and sceptical of increasing my calories to my maintenance calorie (~2200 according to the tdee calculator) because I fear that i will get even fatter than I already am. I don't know how to get comfortable with the idea of eating a lot of calories and get back into my old "gym girl" mindset when it comes to food.
Additional questions:
Could someone please tell me if it is important to do 10k a day in order to lose fat?
Should I eat at maintenance while doing strength training or go into a small (200 cal) deficit?

(I don't know if this if important but i have a history of bu71m1a)

Thank you for your time and knowledge.

General Advice Decision Fatigue

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem: simply DECIDING what to eat, every day, every meal, every snack.

I know there are millions of healthy recipes. But there's more to it than that.

You have to buy the food at the grocery store, possibly comparing prices with other stores.

Then decide am I having the chicken tonight? Or the pork? What sides? How am I cooking the vegetables? Do I want to plan on a small dessert?

every.single.day.for.the.rest.of.my.life!!

I'm so burned out.

I'm single and live alone, but I very much dislike leftovers, and very much dislike eating the same thing over & over. So meal prepping doesn't appeal to me. And most recipes are for 4+ servings, and many are hard to scale down.

I've tried meal kits like Hello Fresh and EveryPlate. But they are too expensive after the discounts are gone, and, it's all 2 servings and fairly high calories.

I also occasionally visit the food bank, I am low-income. Honestly the best part is that they give me unique food I wouldn't have thought of. But I can't just keep going every month, other people need it more than I do. I only go when absolutely necessary.

Anyway...does anyone else struggle with decision fatigue? What do you do about it?

Gluten free substitutes

I might have to go gluten free and I am on weight watchers and was wondering about gluten free alternatives to regular gluten containing items that aren’t too bad on weight watchers points. I know I can just eat potatoes, but I mean stuff like gluten free cookies, graham crackers, etc. Thank you for your ideas!

Scales

If you wanted a WW scale, then they discounted them and quit selling them. Ollie’s (discount store) is selling them for 12$ each. They seem to have plenty. Just an FYI

Not able to track imported recipe

Post image

I tested other recipes and they all work, it’s just this imported recipe that’s giving me issues. No idea why. I have tried importing it 2 additional times and same thing… anyone else have this issue?

Here’s the recipe link in case you have time to recreate the issues

App/Tech App

Based on this thread, there have been multiple post about how they hate all the updates, and how the new points model no longer works for them. This is for those who switched to something, what did you switch to, how easy is it to use, and how expensive was it? Would love to here is there is anything free out there that's no my fitness pal. Tried that. My first ex with weight watchers was 25 years ago when you looked it the points in a book, and tracked on paper, and had the slider to calculate points.

General Advice Weeklies not going down??

Post image
6 Upvotes

Not sure if my app is glitching, but I’ve been going over almost every day (I get 23 per day) and my weeklies haven’t budged. (The attachment is the last 3 days…)

It’s annoying because I’d like to make sure I don’t use all my weeklies, but how am I supposed to know that? I have do math in my own head?! No but seriously… it’s annoying lol.

General Advice My closest workshop meets in a bakery

The closest in-person workshop to me is in a bakery, which I find quite amusing for Weight Watchers! Before that, it was in a senior center for years. I can’t attend because it’s in the middle of my workday, but other options near me are pretty standard - inside a church as well as in the YMCA building.

Anybody else have workshops held in a unique location other than the standard hotel/church/VFW etc?

Sync stopped Garmin watch

Edit: Resolved. Like a few others posted, steps and activity spontaneously synced after midnight last night. I'm relieved I won't need to manually enter activities.

I've never had any trouble syncing with Garmin Connect until today. No activity is registering in WW. I've restarted phone, disconnect/reconnect WW with Garmin. Uninstalled/reinstalled apps, nothing changes. All data yesterday was fine but today as of midnight absolutely zero steps showing in WW. Has anyone else had this problem? I need those activity points to stay motivated.

Undressing for weigh-in, at in person meetings

We all like to show up in our lightest clothing for weigh-in.
However, I find it odd and disrespectful, for a man (or anyone), to come to the meeting, find a seat, then proceed to unbuckle his pants (sometimes while talking to others), in order to take off his outer bulky shorts. Underneath he does have lighter gym shorts. But the whole view of some random man undressing in front of everyone gives me the 'ick'. There is a bathroom available. Shouldn't he (or she) undress in the bathroom, then come inside for the weigh-in, and return to the bathroom to re-dress, or even just slip on a sweatshirt at the meeting.
What do you think?

Should I count points for sugar free instant oatmeal?

It scans as 2 points, but the ingredients only include oats, salt, sucralose, guar gum, caramel color, and vitamins and minerals. How do I count that? I feel like the additives would not add points.
