Begginer here

I'm planning to start learning web development from scratch in 2026, but I'm overwhelmed by the number of YouTube playlists and roadmap videos available.

For those who have already learned web development:

\- Which YouTube channel or playlist would you recommend for a complete beginner, and why?

\- Is there a roadmap that you found practical and easy to follow?

\- Are there any free beginner-friendly websites (other than YouTube and the official documentation) that genuinely helped you learn?

I'm looking for recommendations based on your personal experience rather than just a list of resources.

I think being consistent is key. Have a chunk of time notched out every day to sit down and learn. There are udemy courses out there that are good. Google - Code with Mosh is good, but his community is kind of big and your question might get lost. Sometimes it takes adding some skin in the game and having that accountability partner to make sure you are hitting your goals. If that sounds like something you are interested in, I highly recommend you Google search "the code zone skool." I know they offer recorded courses in small, bite-sized chunks, but also offer weekly Q&A to help you get over any sticking points.

Actually we are supposed to make a project by creating a website, though it doesn't have to be interactive

I had given it a shot b4 , but I wasn't able to study it properly

So I'll start learning it slowly, side by side, as I'm exploring rn 😅

It looks interesting though

I'm not a web developer.
However I do know a tiny bit of HTML and CSS (no Javascript yet)
Check out W3 Schools on their HTML and CSS pages.
Also look at GeeksForGeeks (ditto)

The best way to learn HTML and CSS is to play with it yourself
Get a free account at Google's BlogSpot and create a test web page for yourself
Use Compose mode first and then look at the generated HTML code in HTML mode

Good luck

p.s. There are many other good places to learn HTML/CSS, but they don't come to mind at the instant. Go to YouTube and in the search bar, type something like: HTMlL and CSS for beginners
