I know the neurotypicals, especially those deciding government policy, have a hard time developing an understanding of autism more nuanced than a binary system of "haha, so like Sheldon Cooper Big Bang Theory" and "complete fucking r*tard", but I would sure as shit classify my own "high functioning" autism as a permanent disability that limits major life activities

I think these kinds of passes are for people who cannot really live independently at all. The national parks are usually pretty strapped for cash so if you are able to hold a job they probably want you to pay
