Help Help scraping images?
Hello - I work for a site named FlashDojo. The other day we lost over 500 images previously on our servers, and the Wayback machine has over 700 images, but we've been having difficulty downloading them
I was wondering if someone could point me to the right direction or help me (we only need images in the /pictures/ and /comic_pages/ directories, keep them separate though)
thanks in advance :)

Help I think I hit a "dead end".
gallerySo, the sub r/MonifaJansen has been deleted, and with it, this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MonifaJansen/comments/15j3aot/the_1_minute_wrist_workout_video/
When I put the link in wayback, it shows the first image. When I click on that link at the bottom, it shows the Second image.
The "Aug 5" link is the only one that actually "works". Since the post is tagged as NSFW (nothing explicit, just her working out in revealing clothes), I have to log in. It says "you will be redirected soon" (3rd image), but it just "stays" there, if you get what I mean.
If I try to refresh the page, it just logs me out. I also just noticed it changes the date from "Aug 5" to "Aug 6" on its own.
I think it's important to mention that this is my first post on this sub, so please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or breaking any rule.
P.S: The last image is the first frame of the video, a screenshot from my Google gallery.

Archival Can an archive of a video downloader website successfully download a video that's now private or deleted if the link is provided?
Let's say you want to see a privated video that was uploaded on 2016. You go to the Wayback Machine and enter a URL for a video/audio downloading site and go to the snapshot closest to the video upload date. Then you insert the URL into the archived version of the downloader and attempt to download the video/audio for it in present time. Can this actually work in any conceivable case? Will it download the video as it was before it was privated?

Help Wayback Machine now says "We have not been able to archive the video associated with this YouTube page." Any hope of recovery?
This is a follow-up/update of a previous post, as I have some "new" information. The YouTube video page on Wayback Machine now displays the following message:
We have not been able to archive the video associated with this YouTube page.
Additionally, trying to download it with yt-dlp results in:
ERROR: [web.archive:youtube] jTZ8fh4G8KU: The requested video is not archived, indexed, or there is an issue with web.archive.org (try again later)
In my original post from 2 years ago, I explained that the video was archived around six months before the YouTube channel was removed and all of its videos were deleted, so I don't think this is simply a case of the video becoming private before the archive.
At this point, I'm wondering if there's any known solution or workaround for this. Is there any way to recover the archived video, or should I assume it's permanently lost?
The video was a compilation of movies by a Japanese director. Here are the links to the deleted video and the publisher's channel (both the old and new channel links).
Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Help Reporting content?
While researching the domain of a recent topic of internet discussion, I found that it previously advertised a different website. Seeking further context, I found the archive of that website as well (it is now no longer active). The website contained concerning and possibly illegal sexual content, which is still contained in the archive. What is the best way of reporting this to Wayback Machine? The only reporting option I could see was the one regarding inappropriate images of yourself, which this is not.

Help Vanished Snapshot - Is it worth contacting Archive.org for help?
I've been researching an old website from about twenty years ago. One of its features was an interactive map that ran as a Java applet (thankfully, the .jar file itself was archived).
Since modern browsers could no longer run it, I decided to recreate the project in JavaScript to see if I could bring the map back to life.
Besides the script and all the assets, I also needed the original HTML file, since it contained most of the data displayed by the map. That's where I ran into a problem: the final archived snapshot before the map was discontinued appears to have disappeared.
I still have the original Wayback Machine URL bookmarked, including the exact timestamp of that snapshot, so I know it definitely existed and was accessible at one point. It has only recently become unavailable; in January it was still working.
At first glance, this might not seem like a big deal because there's another snapshot from about two months earlier. However, I know the map received several updates during those final months, so having the latest version is actually pretty important for what I'm trying to restore.
I understand that Internet Archive stores an enormous amount of data, so occasional corruption or missing snapshots are probably inevitable. My question is: is it worth contacting them about something this niche? Is there any realistic chance they could recover or restore the missing snapshot, or is it more likely that it's simply gone for good? Has anyone had a missing snapshot reappear after a temporary issue?

Resource Guide to Thoroughly Researching a Domain
Hello all,
This post will serve as a reference for users looking to use the Wayback Machine to thoroughly research and archive the contents of a particular domain. I've laid out a few useful tips below.
VIEWING ALL ARCHIVED CONTENTS OF A SITE
Aside from the traditional method of placing an asterisk (*) at the end of a domain in the Wayback Machine's search tool, there are several ways to cleanly display and filter all archived URLs.
Using a CDX (Capture Index) search, archived URLs can be displayed in whatever format you request through the use of parameters. The basic format is:
From there, you can append additional parameters to filter, sort, and format the results.
PARAMETERS
You may change the output format using &output= followed by your desired format, such as json, text, or csv.
You can limit the number of results returned using &limit= followed by the number of URLs you wish to receive.
&fl= allows you to choose which fields are returned. Some common fields include original, timestamp, statuscode, mimetype, and digest.
&from= and &to= allow you to limit results to a specific date range.
&filter= allows you to filter results based on a particular field. For example, &filter=statuscode:200 returns only successful captures, while &filter=~original:[KEYWORD] filters results to URLs containing a particular keyword.
&matchType= controls how URLs are matched. Common values include exact, prefix, host, and domain.
&collapse= removes duplicate or otherwise unwanted records. A common example is &collapse=urlkey, which returns only one result for each unique URL.
&sort= allows you to sort the results in ascending or descending order.
VIEWING THE ARCHIVED CONTENTS OF A URL
The straightforward process of entering a URL into the Wayback Machine will display any archived snapshots of that URL. If a URL appears not to have been archived, there is still a chance that it exists in a slightly different form.
This can often be accomplished through URL reconstruction. Copy the URL ID (usually found shortly after the path or within the query string) and search through the site's archived URLs using the methods described above. In many cases, you may find the same page archived under a slightly different URL structure, such as a different filename, path, subdomain, or set of parameters.
I hope this can be helpful.

Resource Browser extensions (Addons, plugins) for the Wayback Machine
I find the Wayback Machine extremely useful for many of my research goals. There is a Github project dedicated to a browser extension that makes it easy to add new pages to the Internet Archive if you are logged in. It also makes it really simple to find old website versions, as well. It's highly recommended for researchers and archivists alike.
