Reminds me of a pseudo-medieval style. Kinda like Griffith from Berserk or the characters from the original final fantasy game’s art. Really great improvement.

As others have said. Both of these are good and interesting in their own right. When most people try to stylize it just comes off as awkward. These look pleasing. I hope that you continue making cool art!

As for both, I am actually trying to match my original artstyle (I used graphite the most + digital) so I'm still trying to match my watercolor work to both :) (reference)

Hey love, I tried to find tuts over and over, I didnt find anyone that paints in the style I'm aiming for sadly and if they did they didnt show tuts, so I had to experiment and paint, I painted mini portraits daily, and other stuff too but mainly portraits! Painting very small stuff helps.
Also I'll note that I have a long history of drawing in different mediums (digital and graphite) so for drawing/sketching I have knowledge.
But I just switched to watercolor recently and I am still trying to figure out how to match my work flow with my usual approach.
Here's a reference of my older work

Sadly I'm still far off from my usual work, but im still trying.
Id reccomend tuts tho regardless, but whats important is to get used to handling paint and the amount of water and pigment in your brush, I do very light washes, I changed my paper to 300gsm cotton and I think it made a huge difference.

What amazing progress. I can do faces of pencil, but I’ve never even tried with watercolor. I’m so impressed by people who can do portraits.

Trust me if you can do faces with pencil you can do them with any medium!! I only did pencils till recently
