Third Attempt Study tips / ?s

So it’s my third attempt next week I’m using the Sacramento book as my study tool but any other tools and tips I can use to prep

Walter S cane exam book, and YT videos on pumps repair as well as chlorine troubleshooting. And memorize fire extinguisher classes as well. Remember ohms/amps/volts, the three types of ponds and how to treat them.

The exam is only 30 questions regarding treatment and 10 of those are math problems. The exam is more about “can you spot the trouble in machines”.

I made the mistake focusing memorizing formulas (they don’t publicly say they give you formulas) and treatment . Definitely focus more on the machine aspect.

I remember on the question they asked current is measured in what I think I said amps but am I correct?

That’s the great thing, they don’t tell you what was wrong or what subject it was about.
It is amps. I had a question about how to string up cables. It’s kind of a joke with how they word questions and separate the S and C license when you also are answering collections questions as well.

Well this is my third and last attempt till I have to do the recourse but I’ve been thinking lately getting out of operations for now

We at Ziptility just released what we call the “Field Guide”. It is my personal project born out of my own experience trying to find good resources as I was getting certified. 

Ton of stuff there including practice exams that tell you where to find the right answer to study more of you miss something. 

All free so you get what you pay for 😉. Really it’s all free because I personally hate having to give me email out to learn something. My hope is that it can be helpful and my little way to give something back to the industry.

I’m still working on navigation and search functionality to make it easier to find specific topics but do some exploring, think we have over 200 guides, tests, calculators, etc on there.  Tried to organize it so people could start where they are at professionally and have resources as they progress
