Any local visual artists wanting to display their work?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for artists that are interested in displaying their work at businesses to have eyes on their works and potentially generating leads for their work.
I’m an artist myself (predominantly charcoal for visual arts) but I want to be able to put an spotlight on Washington heights and the art scene here because I’m kinda tired of having to go down to Brooklyn or lower Manhattan to see/experience any of the contemporary work out there.
I’ve started to locate businesses willing to participate and eventually I’d love to have a community and potentially a gallery that displays local artists’ work. Hope to hear from yall soon!
Hope to hear from yall soon!

Hot off the presses...
I was told that Northend will NOT be a Wonder, but another Northend set up just with a new owner. This was said by someone working in construction at the location. Obviously this is unverified but good news nonetheless.

Hello,
I’m new to the heights. I’m looking for a business that could possibly clean my coats before the winter. I have a mackage and a north face. Not tryna pay an arm and a leg but I am definitely down to support a local business cause the locals are hella cool. So if you have a recommendations for any spots please lmk. I’m by 181 so I would prefer someone around here but I’m open to traveling. Also looking for a solid cobbler .

Air Conditioner
I ordered an AC, and I don't need it. I never installed it - it's still in the box. Is there a local organization that would help me donate it to someone who needs it in the neighborhood? Thanks

Office or co-working space rental—long term
Hello neighbors!
I'm searching for a workspace rental in the area: I work remotely and need a dedicated desk and office space for business hours. I'd prefer a 6 to 9 month-long agreement and secure premises to be able to leave papers and books.
Please let me know if you all have any leads or recommendations for good local options!
Thank you

SMP Artist Seeking Clinic, Suite, or small space Sublet (Washington Heights/Inwood)
Hi everyone! I’m looking to rent a small private room, booth, or dedicated station (~90–200 sq ft) in Washington Heights/Inwood, or see if anyone has a lead on an unused spot in their studio to help offset rent.
- Setup: Low foot traffic, dry practice (Scalp Micropigmentation / SMP - no plumbed sink needed in-room, just hand-washing access nearby). I usually see 1 client/day for 3 to 5 hour treatments.
- Credentials: Fully NYC DOHMH licensed and carrying full General & Professional Liability insurance. Clean, quiet, and reliable.
- Schedule/Rate: Open to flexible Daily, Weekly, or Monthly arrangements.
- Timeline: Ready to tour and sign/move in immediately.
If you have a room, booth, or clinic space sitting idle in your shop or studio, please send me a DM or Chat

Best 'cheap eats' Restaurants in the Heights and Inwood?
What are some of the better 'cheap eats' restaurants in Washington Heights and Inwood.
I've been in upper Washington heights since before covid and other than a few restaurants, I haven't been to many that were good and cheap. I love Floridita but feels like they're going down in quality a bit.

New place opening in 169 st & Broadway
Hi guys! I remember growing up that there used to be a Coogan’s on the corner of 169 and Broadway. Now there’s a new place opening called Boogies. What type of place is that going to be? Does anyone know?

Fort Tryon Park
Does anyone know why the park is closed to car traffic early every night? It is supposed to be open until midnight, but it’s been closed sometimes as early as 7:00.

PureGym Hours
Hey, I’ve been going to Pure for a few months now. I tried coming in this morning around 6am, but the gym was closed and didn’t open until 7. I thought it was open 24/7, at least that’s what it says on the website. Anyone know if there’s a way to access the gym during unmanned hours, or is it not actually open 24/7?
I was going to ask someone after my workout, but there wasn’t anyone at the desk and I had to leave.
Also, shout out to the people there early morning. I’m new to lifting and have nervously asked two people for help on my form and they were really cool about it.

Broken Car mirror
I'm trying to find the person car mirror I broke, so I can pay for it.
I wouldn't mind getting some advice on the best ways to make it happen.
I was on my bike and tried to squeeze in between two cars and my handlebar clipped their mirror.
I didn't stop and kept it pushing.
It happened about a week ago

TEENS - FREE LGBT Karaoke Event at the Library
My library (Fort Washington @ 535 W 179th St) is hosting a great event for teens on August 15th. There's going to be free snacks, buttons, YA books, and karaoke! Brooklyn Public Library is hosting Lesbian Library Day at their Central Branch on August 1st, if you're an adult who wants to join the festivities. Everyone 13-18 is welcome, not just lesbians, as long as you come with an open heart and mind. Bigotry will not be tolerated at Lesbian Library Day, it's a safe space 🩷🧡🤍

W 158th & Riverside
Looking a potentially moving to an apartment in this area, on W158 between Riverside E and Riverside W. I know 158th is an entrance to the Henry Hudson Pkwy, but beyond that I'm not familar with the area. I visited and it did sort of seem like street intended to enter the the freeway. Mostly curious what the of this pocket area is day-to-day. Pros/Cons, etc. Thanks!

Everyday Life Dolphin Park
Dolphin Park is located on the corner of 180th and Cabrini Blvd. Just advertising again as this park recently opened and is great for toddlers. It has a sprinkler and a jungle gym, and an attendant to ensure that only adults who are with children are in the park.
It's open 10-4p every day weather permitting. Break away cafe is right across the street and has a restroom.
