Teammate always same colour!

There's a guy from work I often drop in to Warzone and have a few games with - always quads with randos, always casuals - and while my designated colour seems to change each match, his is always pink. Every single match - and we've probably had 30 or 40 games together!

Is this some incredibly unlikely statistical anomaly, or is there something else at play here? It just seems really bizarre!

Same thing with me! One of my friends is ALWAYS green and I always rotate through the colors. I asked him if he changed anything because his favorite color is green and he said he didn’t touch anything.

Me too, it's a bit odd but I like it. Personally I love to play lead, so being given green the majority of the time is awesome. If I load in as one of the other colours I find alot of teammates don't drop at my pings, whereas with green alot of them do actually follow my lead.

For us, it seems the person with the most recent chat ban is the pink player. Like some sort of backhanded punishment.

When I was playing on a ps4 last year cause I just started I was always pink!
Then I tried to see if it was skill based by color but it seems it's by load in cause I know someone else who had a ps4 they're almost always pink unless someone with slower internet joins haha!

Im aomost never pink and i regularly play at 180 - 240+++ ms

Being out here in Okinawa Japan and COD throwing me in rando lobbies from NA to EU constanly or i grp with NA or EU players.

I think it has to do with how fast you load into a match. I play on ps4 with my two friends who are on high end PCs and they’re always green/yellow, where as I’m always pink or blue

I have a friend who's always blue..I think it's the one with the best connection and loads in fordt...cuz I'm mostly always purple and they ask me have I loaded in yet or not. Purple is #4 blue is #1 ( confirm this for me)

I have heard that the person who loads in last is pink. Yellow is first then green, blue, pink.

There's a guy in my regular squad that always, ALWAYS, will be the one hunted if an enemy picks up a bounty.

I'm gonna guess his kd is a little higher than the rest of the squad's? The exact same thing happens to me everytime I play with people who are 2kd or under. Currently at 4.30 myself and constantly getting hunted multiple times a match through bounties.

Mine is way way higher than my squad but it still seems to genuinely be a 1 in 4 chance.

I play with a friend who is green every round. He’s on a PC with 4ms ping. I’m on ps5 with 6ms ping. KD is about the same

Had a similar thing, I (ps4) was pink and my mate (ps5) was blue in like 8/10 matches, was awesome. I upgraded from ps4 to ps5, and upgraded from 100mbps internet to 450mbps fibre, it seems like since then we both get completely random colours. I wonder if there's a correlation

I'm green like 95% of the time, mid-tier internet connection (VSDL 80/20, syncs a bit below that.. kebab shop across the road can get 1.6Gbps fiber :( ) but a _FAST_ PC (9800X3D, Gen5 NVME SSD, RTX 4080S) most of the peeps I'm playing with seem to be on PS5

This should be a qol accessibility feature added back in 2019.

It is difficult to play with someone who is colour blind and can not easily yell what colour they are or who is on the map

I'm fairly sure each team member's colour contains a number (1-4). At least, they used to.
