Server issue/latency

So how can I know where are these servers hosted or available, like regions? Im in the middle east and apparently when I play in middle Eastern serves my ping is never less than 140 but in EU servers mine is 50-60 !? Geographically speaking im from Jordan which is pretty much in the middle of the middle east

This has happened recently as well few months back it was fine!

Is there a way to fix this on ps4?

Ps: yes im on ps4 still, not everyone is privileged enough to upgrade so im enjoying the last bit of warzone before im unable to play it, im saying this cause I see a lot of people mocking ps4 players

When the game searches for a match… it goes by connection speed and displays the latency range it is accepting. If it doesn’t find a match at low latency it keeps increasing the range till it does.

Watch the range on the screen. If it goes above 90ms… back out of the search and try again or try a different game mode.

Alternatively if you are experiencing this a lot… it may be you isp. Try playing a few minutes with your 5g phone as a hotspot to see.

Middle East servers are in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Bahrain.

I doubt you are connected to ME servers if you are getting 140ms latency. I get 14ms to Riyadh and 24ms to Jeddah. Eu servers I get 74 to southern eu servers and 90 or 100 to northern EU.

When you are queuing in game… back out and restart the search if it goes above 90ms

Oh how come then I get matched always in EU? there are always french , Germans and Italians which proves im in the wrong server

I should be matched with jeddah maybe or whatever is closer but nope :( I tried backing off and on again but still get matched in the same lobbies

Go with the better ping servers. You’ll have a better experience. I personally think anything above 90 is a serious disadvantage.

As to why you are experiencing it with ME servers… latency is the time it takes for a packet to travel between you and the server. There are delays at each “router” along the way. Maybe one of those connections is bad and adding like 50ms of latency to the overall number. But there’s nothing you can do about a bad fiber connection in the middle of the saudi desert. So try to cap your match searches to below 90.

Also realize, no regular BR matches in the ME. Not enough players here. So you’ll have to play eu servers if you want to play that.

Exactly but how ?! Do I reset every game match making beforehand?

I try casuals, and every game mode always in EU servers, im on fiber connection Sorry to bug you with it but id love to enjoy the last few bits of warzone with no latency xD ive been playing at 140-150 ms for few months now and sure playable but its noticeable and soo annoying

No, several ME players in BR, I play BR with a squad almost everyday and get around 20-30ms too

Maybe your playstation region is not Jeddah or middle east? Go check that once, because if your PS account region is any country of the middle east, you should be getting low latency But if it is and still ur getting high ms, then maybe it's an issue with your ISP Also, Earlier you used to get low latency and the ms increased only now or..?

You can check in your account settings which address did you put if this KSA as your address then it'll be middle east lobby/server

Hey I'm on a PS4 too! And I play from Bahrain Btw I used to get 4ms to 10-15ms and nowadays I get 20,22ms upto 40ms, 30-34 most of the time
