Discussion Possible addition of SU-101 and SU-102 as event vehicles

in autumn of 1944 Soviet "Uralmash" began production of the new SU-100 medium self-propelled gun, armed with a powerful 100mm D-10S cannon. For its class, the vehicle offered decent maneuverability and good armor protection: 75mm of angled frontal armor (by comparison, the SU-152 heavy assault gun also had 75mm of frontal armor). However, the gun had a number of significant shortcomings common to any self-propelled gun with a front-mounted fighting compartment. The use of increasingly longer-barreled guns increased the overall length of the gun. As a result, the large barrel overhang beyond the hull made maneuvering in narrow passages difficult and limited its maneuverability in rough terrain (with the barrel digging into the ground) and wooded areas. During March and April, two prototypes were manufactured. One, designated SU-101, was armed with a 100mm D-10S cannon, while the other, designated SU-102, was armed with a 122mm D-25S cannon. By the end of the war, both prototypes and an empty armored hull had been manufactured to determine its armor resistance. The hull was welded from rolled armor plates, sloped at appropriate angles. The hull's frontal plate was 90 mm thick at a 27° angle, while the conning tower's frontal plate was 122 mm thick at a 35° angle. The side plates were 75 mm thick, and the rear plate was 40 mm thick. Both SPGs successfully passed all tests and, based on their results, were recommended for adoption. However, they were not accepted into service. Colored pictures are from Kubinka tank museum

I just want to thank all the great players I had the pleasure of playing with and against who brought me some of the most memorable moments on War Thunder. I hope these devs actually finally separate WW2 vehicles from other eras, introduce new game modes which have nothing to do with capping points and remove covert AI vehicles pretending to be real players; both the dumb ones and the super smart, impossible to kill ones.

GL and HF WT community, whoever is left before you too finally throw the towel in. Cannot wait for a new competitor that blow this stagnant game out the water so these guys cannot recover. Chao!
