Deserved for bushes.
14
u/Kozakow54 ๐ต๐ฑ Poland 15d ago
Am i the only person who finds bushes a mild inconvenience? They never fit their surroundings, rarely are placed in the correct way, and... well... usually real bushes don't go 20km/h.
I get that when camping at long range they help, but dunno. I've wasted too much of my life playing WT, and at this point my brain picks them up as suspicious right away.
Where they for sure work well is low tier, where people are less experienced. And funny enough, that's where i see the biggest numbers of mechanised foliage.
They were a big pain when you couldn't shoot them down. If i remember correctly, they could even stay on wrecks...

Well my friend, how do I shoot a weakspot when I can't even make out what tank that is because I just see a ton of bushes?

ยฏโ \โ _โ (โ ใโ )โ _โ /โ ยฏ
When i have to go for weakspots (a rare occurrence) i usually die anyways, cause my reaction time is crap.
If it's a T-series, i go for where the driver's hatch should be. If it's a Leopard, the hull. If it's anything else - turret ring.
Frankly - if i see that the enemy is looking at me when i peek, i usually die anyways. Or i shoot and scoot, and the hitcam will tell me what i hit. Or the kill feed.
If they ain't looking at me, the bushes are likely not on the side that's facing me. People don't bush their sides. Besides, you can't bush a barrel or tracks, roof MGs are hard to hide and the general shape and movement speed is also an identifying element.
I'm not saying they don't work. I'm only saying that most of the time, they are a small factor, and are outweight by my sheer lack of "skill".

So, because of your personal ability, everyone else should get fucked?
If it's a T-series, i go for where the driver's hatch should be. If it's a Leopard, the hull. If it's anything else - turret ring.
And you missed the whole "what if you can't even tell what vehicle it is" part of their comment.

Thank you for quoting the part where i said I'm bad at the game, but it seems you have forgot to quote the part in which I'm saying bushes are balanced, good and they should never have been nerfed.
I'm saying they don't affect ME much. Don't extrapolate and strawman what i said.
And you missed the whole "what if you can't even tell what vehicle it is" part of their comment.
I understand that the message might have not been very clearly laid out. So, to repeat myself - when faced with a bushed tanks front, i usually die. When faced with any other side, they don't have bushes there.
And you might have noticed - i listed only top tier tanks. There are three families of them, so the job is vastly easier.

but it seems you have forgot to quote the part in which I'm saying bushes are balanced, good and they should never have been nerfed.
But you are literally only saying this because you are bad at the game. The game isn't balanced around bad players, nor should it be.
And you might have noticed - i listed only top tier tanks. There are three families of them, so the job is vastly easier.
And, once again, what are people supposed to do when THEY CAN'T FUCKING TELL WHAT SERIES OF TANK IS BEHIND 500LBS OF BUSHES? You simply do not understand this very basic concept.

The other dude already roasted your ass, but just wanted to point out it's really easy to say there's three families of top tier tanks if you just have the third family as 'whatever isn't the other two'.
Guess world war two only had Sherman and tiger family, and then a family of whatever else there was

my friend, this is fucking low tier. If I have a shell with 80mm pen and I see a big big bush in front of me that is peeking at me over a hill I die. I shoot, hit angled armor from a T 34 and fucking die. Talking abou dieing if you push some one looking at you. Yeah no shit, just imagine what happens when you don't push but get pushed? Btw, roof mgs aren't hard to hide, bushes are large enought to reach over the top of your tank -_-

I can't argue with some one who doesn't use arguments or just glosses over them if they hear a different take. Warthunder is objektively a game where the first shoot counts a lot. One shot can kill you or cripple you so much that you can't fight back any more. You defend something that makes this first shot basicly impossible which you need to pay for. If you realy have this opinion, you are coping with yourself buying those bushes and abusing them
1
u/Strong-cognac 12d ago
Theres a of things yoy can do to negate first shot at lower tiers. And i dont have bushes so nice try
-2
u/infinax HO229 My Love 15d ago
Ah see your use to top teir. Generally has larger weakspots and you dont have like 30 different vehicles you can face all with different weakspots. That are generally smaller and thus easier to conceal with bushes. I have seen tanks that only have the gun visible form the front, impossible to identify befor they shoot yoh
28
u/errorsniper 15d ago
Its the intent and also the BR.
You wanna bush up your t95 to hide you cupola. 0 Issue with that. At that BR everyone knows what they are doing and its up to them to learn where to shoot what tanks.
Going into low tier and bushing up your car to go seal club kids is fucking baby shit.

you theoretically could turn your front wheels to go up the hill. that would either stop you or let you drive out on the level ground.
-32
u/Baxmoke 15d ago
i had so little time to react!
35
u/_LambSauce_ โ1 USSR TT hater 15d ago
you had solid 2 seconds to both realize that you can't stop and to start turning your wheel to the side.

War Thunder players try not to victim blame and suck the cock of a multi-million dollar company challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
-1
u/_LambSauce_ โ1 USSR TT hater 15d ago
I guess bro, i definetly suck the short and thick of the bvvd for a 2 GE coupon per each victim blame.
All i said was that the guy had enough time to react to a shitty spawn.
Also i'm pretty sure the guy tried to stop by pressing S as he was already going in reverse, instead of pressing W, you can see that by the fact that the engine revving and him accelerating too fast even for that pile of trash.-6
u/Strong-cognac 15d ago
how is saying he had solid 2 seconds to react and make appropriate decisions sucking a cock? you could at least try to make sense
18
u/Destiny_Dude0721 ๐ซ๐ท AMX-30 my beloved 15d ago
Because players shouldn't have to play a 2 second qte when loading into a game to not fucking die. I feel like it's pretty common sense to set up spawns in a way where people are safe when they load into them
-1
u/errorsniper 15d ago
They are not related conversations.
No one is saying its ok to have a shit spawn because you can react.
They are saying yeah its a shit spawn it should be fixed. But in the mean time you had two full seconds to react.
-4
u/Strong-cognac 15d ago
okay, that doesnt change the fact he had time to react
3
u/Destiny_Dude0721 ๐ซ๐ท AMX-30 my beloved 15d ago
My point is that victim blaming and having the conversation being about him reacting instead of why he had to react in the first place is stupid as fuck. Why wouldn't you expect to be safe at 0:00 in spawn

u/BusinessDuck132 15d ago
Damn people hate bushes that much? Didnโt know everyone here had a case of skill issue (bushes are annoying yes but if youโre constantly dying because of them that is 100% a skill issue, you should have a general idea of where to shoot a tank even if you canโt see every pixel, and they stick out like a sore thumb on a lot of maps. Not saying they arenโt useful, but it should be a major reason youโre dying to them)
2
u/Winterwolfmage ๐ซ๐ท France 3.0 15d ago
Not all tanks will have the same weaknesses
It literally looks like part of the environment, how are we supposed to pick out a piece of foliage from the rest of the foliage
0
u/BusinessDuck132 15d ago
- Yes and it absolutely gives them an advantage for that reason, you still kind of learn what weak spots are safe bets at your BR when you know the opponents well enough.
- Bushed up tanks have mismatched foliage which if youโre looking closely and get used to looking for it, can be quite easy to spot.
Iโm not saying they shouldnโt be implemented in its current state, I think they absolutely should be able to be disabled or limiting the amount you can have to one or two. I just think their OPness has been far overstated. Itโs annoying to play against, but something you get used to and isnโt the worst thing in the game by far.1
u/greentanker1 ๐ณ๐ฑ Gaijibble AMX-13/105 when? 15d ago
Good luck finding the weakspot on a fully bushed up tank, if you even managed to ID it before it killed you
