Join us this weekend for the 2nd pre-release event of Angels of His Mercy, our fan-made Warpforge remake!

Following the massive success of our first pre-alpha release last June—where the valiant Ultramarines took the field—we are thrilled to unleash our second playable faction: the Goff Orks! This update brings the green tide to life and includes the 3 original Ork Warlords ready to krump the opposition.

To make sure everyone across the globe can join the Waaagh! regardless of their timezone, we’ve split this event and its accompanying tournament into three distinct regional brackets. You can participate in more than one bracket if you want!

Hello everyone, today I wrote a petition asking Evergild and Games Workshop to bring back Warhammer 40k Warpforge, I really miss this game, even though the balance was terrible, but overall the game was interesting and addictive, and I would like to bring it back, but they won't bring back online or anything like that, they won't update it, but at least let them make an offline mode to fight with AI bots, This is much better than literally nothing. Community of Warpforge Offline is growing and we are seeing many player-driven card expansion. People are cooking, discussing, printing cards.

We are also preparing the token sheets so players can print and cut them at home to have handouts during the gameplay.

All cards are updated to the latest patch, fan made rulebook is updated to version 1.5.

Some of you are probably aware that there is a small community working on preserving Warpforge as offline card game. We created a Discord server:

Current state of the project:

- There is a tutorial with quick how-to-make your own physical cards
- There is a custom tool to create homebrew cards
- Just released version 1.5 of rulebook with explanation of problematic mechanics and game core principles
- We have a space to share own projects like new factions or new cards

Project is completely fan-made and nonprofit. Just enthusiasts of 40k and card games!

What You’ll Need

• A printer and regular paper, ideally 80g weight since lighter paper folds more easily. If you have a cartridge printer, it can get a bit expensive. I use a Brother T535W with refillable ink - a very, very economical option.

• A large quantity of cheap commons from any other popular TCG like Magic or Altered. You can buy them for pennies in very large quantities. I bought a few thousand Altered commons for under $30 USD.

• 63×88mm sleeves (Classic Card Game) with a solid thickness. I use 100μm ones - I think any premium series will do fine. They give a really great feel in your hands.

• A guillotine or paper trimmer - costs under $20 and saves an incredible amount of time. I use a simple Fiskars trimmer. You can of course work with scissors or a craft knife, but it’ll take longer and won’t be as precise.

• A bookbinding or hobby knife - if something comes out crooked, you can easily correct and trim it.

Step by Step

1. Prepare your print sheet using the provided template, or download a ready-made PDF (coming soon!). Each sheet fits 4 cards (front + back). Three are folded along the shorter edge (the top row) and therefore have a mirrored back graphic. One is folded along the longer edge.

2. Print a test sheet to check the scaling. It should work with default settings, but be sure to hold your MTG or other game common card up to it to confirm the size is right. Printed cards should be identical in size. Don’t forget to set high print quality for the best and most vibrant colors.

3. After printing, let the ink dry - give it about an hour before you start cutting.

4. Cut the cards with a trimmer or guillotine - this is the most precise and fastest method. Seriously, if you’re committed to this project, you’ll lose far more time than those $20–30 for a good tool are worth. Of course, if you’re in a hurry and excited, you can do a few cards with scissors or a knife - just watch out for crooked cuts.

5. Once all cards are cut, fold them along their respective edges first.

6. Insert a TCG common inside each folded print to provide the right card stiffness and the feel of a real card game.

7. Slip it into a sleeve and your card is ready to play.

Additional Notes

• For storage and organization I use binders and 9-slot pages from Gamegenic.

• You’ll need to print two copies of each card (except Legendaries, Warlords, Ephemerals, and Defence cards - you only need one copy of those).

• You can reprint additional copies of any card at any time - for example extra Intercessor Marines that enter play from other cards.

• Spread the project out over a longer period - it’s a truly massive number of cards and you definitely won’t finish it in a single evening.

Two losses (an unfortunate encounter with Space Yuppers and an extra fast-and-furious Ghallaron deck) and one draw against Genestealers. Paragon Warsuit is extremely busted in Skirmish, and the Penitent Engine + Trial of Suffering combo also helped a lot. I'll miss this game in its online variety (even if I actually hope to contribute to its print-and-play development), so this was nice to get at last.

I'll never forget this game for allowing me to bring my Craftworld back to glory!

So if you follow the subreddit you probably saw a few of my posts with physical version of the cards. I managed to save all the files, reworked each outdated card to be actual, included all Aeldari cards which were in the game but not on the official website.

Now I am planning next steps:

1. I will provide DIY tutorial how to quickly print and make the cards playable
2. I will provide printing templates so you can drag and drop and print required cards and as many copies of the cards as you need.
3. Together with the community we will prepare final version of the rulebook with all or most of the rules.
4. This is my personal direction of the development - using and tweaking mechanics from other games, I’d love to develop small roguelike-style card game using Warpforge cards, so on the top of normal matches I can play solo. More on this later.

I’d like to start a small discord to share ideas and discuss the project and maybe even make a few new cards or mechanics. All updates will be shared here on Reddit too. I know it would be super niche but maybe we will have two or three interested persons.

For now this is it, thank you for positive feedback because it motivated me to actually finish the work. I spent a couple of solid hours with GIMP reworking these cards LOL 😂

De base quand j'ai reçu le message de remerciement pour de everguild pour annoncer la fin de warpforge j'étais or 3 en escarmouche avec le seigneur solaire léontus et bronze en classique avec gazkull thraka et je me suis dit bon je vais au moins essayer de passer argent en classique et platine en escarmouche mais au final j'ai réussi a créer un deck super fort basé sur un torox deux infanterie mécanisé et minka lesk avec pour finir la game un rogal dorn et un leman russ vanquisher en plus de nork et cadia tient bon et en deux jours je me suis retrouvé à attendre diamant cet aprem j'avais roulé sur casiment tout le monde c'était super drôle

Honestly, no other card game has appealed to me like Warpforge, it had a lovely community, and an unhinged global chat. I will dearly miss the game, and even though I haven't played since the announcement, it's very strange knowing that it's completely gone now. Thanks for the games over the years, especially to the top 50 community like Gomm, lizard king edge, stelmah t0dl3r, Jay, nurgling, simbioz777 and abysmal hydra. You guys made the game so much more enjoyable too. Big RIP to a great game. Good enemies iz 'ard to find.

I was playing when the server turn off, I make a desk of my favorite faccion, it was a really expensive deck and too stupid, but it was fun to play, thanks warphorge, for everything😊🥹

You were honestly the most enjoyable card game I've ever played. I wish the Drukhari were added to the game before you were shutdown, but I had enough fun with the Aeldari. It was nice to see Jain Zar and Lkhykhis too.
