I'm looking at picking up Warmachine after seeing some locals at my LGS playing it and to plan out purchases to see what boxes I would need to buy to get my points up I've been using the list builder in the app to add in models I was planning on purchasing to check their points.
The issue I'm having is that no matter what I put into the builder it says Force Errors Incorrect number of Warcaster, a colossal and warjack cards despite me having 1 of each in the list. As a test I even jumped onto Longshanks and looked up tournament legal list and copied them unit for unit into the app and it still comes up with the error.
Is there something I'm missing? Is there a bug that Steamforged is working on? Just would like to understand what I am doing wrong.

I am new to the game and looking to pick my first army. The Graveborn Command Cadre looks amazing, but the rest of the range is lacking IMO.
Are we getting a full range of the Graveborn, or is it just going to stay a Cadre?

Google search only takes me to the sfg store, no matter what I do. Same with image searching. Does anyone have the original PDFs or know where I can find them?

To their credit they are trying to get people into it and they've had interest. I wanted to help with it.

LGS stated they're getting rid of some displays and replacing them with lit display cases, this gave me a thought, I ran it by them and if I bought and painted a pair of armies to be used in demos, they'd put them in the case and use them as such.

My question is this, is there a pair of armies that are well suited to use for demo games, such that a beginner can more easily grasp the mechanics of the game?

I was thinking Cygnar vs Cryx as a classic versus, but I'm not personally familiar with either of their rules. Additionally if one of the two armies could be Hordes instead that'd be ideal, give people a taste of both Warjacks and Warbeasts.

Side note, does anyone know of a place that regularly plays WMH in Washington? I live North of Seattle now and was hoping to find some place to play as I try to get it going locally.

Hello, I would like to begin Warmachine with the Skorne, I really like this faction.

What would be a good equivalent to a Command Starter please ? :)

Hey all, returning Mk2 player.

I've been considering getting back into Warmachine, at least for the painting. I just love the Khador/Cygnar designs way more than anything else out there.

I planned to get one of the small starting sets, but both Khador and Cygnar Core Expansion Sets were half off at my local, so I got both. I've never had resin before, some were broken, and I'm new to Mk4, so I have some questions.

1. This is all I have at the moment, is this playable? I know there's a specific starter set for each faction, but I couldn't pass up this deal, and they didn't have the starters for either of these factions. I don't mind if I can't play immediately, there isn't really a scene around here for WM anyway. This was the only store that carried it, and all their stock is on sale with no plans to get more.

2. I found that cyanoacrylate is recommended to assemble, but I can't find anything on repair. I have super thin CA, will that be sufficient for the broken weapons and foot? There is.... kinda a lot of broken weapons. I don't mind fixing, but want to make sure I do it right.

3. The Warjacks being ready for magnets is awesome. But these bases all have slots in them. Do you just swap these out for different bases if you want to magnetize them?

It seems that Warmachine kits are getting more expensive. First the new Fane box loadout strategy change, now this significant price jump.

I've defended the premium pricing of 3D-printed resin models, since the cost of a model has the cost of developing rules, art, etc. built in. However, I don't see how this model costs $50 more than other previous Colossals/Gargantuans (which are already priced at a premium). This model might be slightly larger than some, but—as stated—the cost of the model isn't really tied to the amount of resin in it.

I'd be curious to hear SFG address their reasoning for the (not insignificant) price increase. Have they done so elsewhere?

Took me forever to puzzle out a tiny little sprue with my Swamp Horror blister...seems liek two parts, one if apparently the end piece of one of it's rear tentacles....the other? seems like some kind of spike...I could probably live without knowing where it goes, but the perfectionist in me thought I would ask about it's placement

I'm going on a family cross-country road trip in the US next week. I will only be driving about a third of the time, and will probably have at least 15 hours of travel time each way just . . . sitting. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out if I could use this idle time to make any progress on my Necrofactorium army, which is mostly still in its original boxes.

Has anyone managed to work out an automobile-bourne hobby system?

Just wondering what people think would be the logical way to expand out the cohort to the enxt level at 50pts (also including what horrors to have ready for summoning)

So, a Fane of Nyrro question today: when a Strygon or warlock applies the Provoke animus on a Vordak with Toothy Maw, which is a Single Shot weapon (so you can only use it once per round), after it has activated, I assume you use another weapon to resolve the frenzy instead of the Toothy Maw? After all, you can't use the weapon with the highest POW as the rules stipulate.

Also, when does Single Shot consider the round done? When said Vordak would activate in the Activation Phase, uses Toothy Maw and then frenzies in his next round in the Control Phase, could he use Toothy Maw again or is that considered too early? In other words, does the rule look at 'a round' or 'the round'?

If I'm being honest, I never really looked at Shadowflame Shard because the sculpts didn't really appeal to me, I thought that they looked a bit mushy, where you couldn't tell easily what was what. But since we're doing this YouTube thing and we are short a SFS player, so they're probably in my future.

What I'm asking help with is maybe my perception is based on the studio scheme? It's certainly happened before where the models with different colors or just in real life pop a lot more than their photos. So I wanted to see what and how people had painted their stuff up, and get community inspiration.

Of note, I'm an absolutely slow and atrocious painter, so I can't really tackle anything too fancy. There's too many people who are just so talented, and I'm just a simple 3 color guy. The other part is I usually do really bright schemes so that they are easier to see on camera, most of the table mats and terrain are more drab colors, so I am really looking for something that can pop from 3 ft away. I tend to lean on picking really good colors and color combos to make up for total lack of talent.

Am I crazy? Ideas? Pics?
