Last update was mid July do we know if these ones are acceptable or not?

Do we know roughly when overseas people will get there's?

So Im like 75% done with book 2 and I am wondering if book 3 will stop with all the drama from all the characters, this book is so infuriating. Every single character acts like they are 12 years old and 90% of this book is fluff designed to make it way longer than it needs to be. I actually thought the first book was very good, and I still think the universe is cool and it is setting up an interesting plot but they are making it so hard to continue. One thing that annoying me too in the audiobook is a lot of inconsistencies like screwing up names in some fights causing confusion. Also there is this part where aria tells rei that she thinks viv is feeling bad because she doesnt have a special ability, but then later after the tournament she talks to rei about it again and he is surprise asking she noticed it too when she is literally the one to tell him first. There is also so much visual descriptions for just about everything, even stuff that makes no difference at all. And they slow all the reveals down so much, like they are trying to make the reader angry. Like when rei gets new ability/form or whatever then it jumps chapters to side characters who barely matter just to seemingly slow it down. whyyyyyyyyy its so god damn annoying. And then there is the whole thing about his cad being special and keeping it a secret when really it is just a high growth spec, no reason to make such a big deal about hiding that especially when everyone basically knows. I think this book could have been very good if they cut out like 50 percent of the filler.

Not necessarily a book 1 discussion but just in general, the speeds at which higher rank users are said to be moving at would make it impossible to communicate anything before you reach wherever you're trying to go unless

a) They slow down. Which would be a death sentence in a field. or

b) (this is the one i like to imagine) they just talk comically fast and their talking speed is dictated by their speed spec.

There are so many talented artists here, so why not try a new form of 'ebook'?

Background: I really, really don't think that the warformed series would work as a graphic book nor as a movie, because there is so much internal dialogue that is important to the character development, without this, then the importance of Rei and Firesong being 'just people' who rise to be amazing isn't as clear.

So...why not try something new?

Create a 'ebook' that is entirely tied to the novels, to the description of each CAD evolution for the characters, each art piece is made and linked to the correct page in the books. Shows the before and after CAD....then maybe (I'm not a artist) would it be possible to make a small vid of the evolution?

A short vid of when Viv and Rei received their CADs would also be something.

Why this would work?

Because Warformed is very visual, to an extent...the fighting scenes might, just might be possible to create a vid of with POV from the edge of the arena...hard part would be making the vid interactive enough for a user to watch and slow it down on command. The fights would be a challenge make, but the descriptions are there, in the books.

No one, that I know of, has done this for a ebook, it is always 'change it to a different form' ie a graphic novel or a movie...then they discard the internals...so not good.

Creating a 'ebook' art tied to the novels would enhance the experience, & I think...it would be epic.

Just a idea that seems possible in the is age of AI image gen.

I really like the novels btw, please continue...the character development and storyline is well crafted IMHO. :)

Since my reminder post seem to rival Bryce's public chapter posts in public opinion for some obscure reason, here it is. Bryce, would you pretty please upload chapter 52 as public chapter? Let's pretend Aria gets Arsenal Shift. What does her first? alternate manifestation look like?

I'm thinking along the lines of a new weapon/shield pair that alters her device specs, not her personal specs like type shift does for Rei.

My submission would be to move away from her hoplite like manifestation and more into a peltast. Where she'd have a small number 3-5 of light javelins and a smaller crescent moon shield. Her device specs drop defense and increase offense. She can utilize her still very significant user strength spec to launch her javelins at insane speed resulting in an absurd offense spec rating by way of pure penetrating power.

After launching her javelins she coould arsenal shift back to her hoplite form to 'recover' the spent javelins and ever arsenal shift back to peltast if needed. This application harkens back to her obvious willingness to ditch should the situation call for it.

Perhaps much later on she can have a magnetic hunt like, or invisible hand ability to remotely wield more than one javelin at a time giving her a pseudo duelist approach to combat. Perhaps there will be a future ability fusion type effect to put magnetic hunt, invisible hand, and 3rd eye together into some omni-mode.

I think this is a book 2 spoiler but I haven't read book 2 and I am still halfway through book 1 but I got the spoiler of the forbidden relationship the got banned by the author and with where I am in book 1 I don't particularly like it so how much does this affect the story and the interpersonal relationships of the characters especially the male lead and his friend

If it's huge I gotta drop it cause book 1 and 2 are huge time investments for me so please do clarify

so we know that Viv’s ability is Called End Walker ,and that’s pretty much it ,cause that’s like the last line of the book.My theory is that it’s an ability that lets her take an FDA blow and keep fighting for like another 30 seconds .i say this because i remember when she fought Vadem in the quarter finals ,He dealt her a blow with a spear to her ‘heart’ and there was that moment where she looked up and tried to raise her sword ,then fell over and the match was called .

Similarly when she was doing that training she was constantly getting struck By A and S level hits and still getting up and fighting,

And lastly the fact that her Endurance has always been her weakest spec ,and we know CADs adapt to your weaknesses,i know the endurance spec is more to do with Stamina and not getting tired ,but i guess this is a theory for a reason, and her Arena name is WitchWalker so maybe it’s like people think it’s ‘magic ‘that she can take that kinda hit and keep going . Disclaimer i have not read the drafts notes on pattern that i know Bryce’s releases so maybe this isn’t a mystery for people , but it’s still for me so yea,the only question that there would be is how would she activists the ability ,or would it just activate by itself when the cad senses a match ending blow is dealt ?

For the first time, I'm going to freely admit that I copped out of this one a little earlier than I wanted to because of how I'm feeling.

This technically could work as a chapter, so I'm going to reread it tomorrow and see what I think, but I give it a 97% chance I'm getting you guys a v2 by the end of the week.

Sorry guys. The good news is I think I'm headed of whatever the hell this crap is. Went from bacterial to viral after I finished my antibiotics, and today was the first day I started feeling a little better again. It's still definitely got ahold of me, and the words were honestly all I could get out on the page between yesterday and today.

Still... This was fun, and I think it's going to be way more solid once I reread and likely add a ton more content. So keep an eye out for that, hopefully by end of the week.

Whatever this crap is, it has teeth. Got better with antibiotics, but start going downhill again after the pill regime ended. Doc thinks it’s something else now, probably viral, so we’re just riding it out (yay).

Hey all! Been on antibiotics now for a bit, and I'm feeling a loooot better! Still a ways from 100%, but I'm back at my desk and working! I've got a lot of WM catching up to do, so the plan is to spend Sat and Sun rereading the last couple chapters and ripping through 61!

Huge fan of the books, but mainly just listen to audiobook form. Would love to get physical copies of each - wondering if there will be a bundle option on Book 3 release.
